I doubt that..... It is only because the cylindres are not integrated in the block that you can enter the pistons from the bottom end of the cylindres! Because this one of the very few engines where it is acrually possible to enter the cylindres from the bottom end.... why would it be necassary to do so??

я ни один мотор перебрал и никогда динамометрическим не пользовался,смотря какой мотор и тяну такой трубой любой механизм и чувствую где трубой,а где нет,а вот вкладыши в бугеля они не те заперли
I would have aligned the heads before torquing the heads, to spec. I guess they noticed that fact by themselves when trying to fit the first manifold to it, and that's the reason the installed and finished dynapac was never started in vid.

Собрал штук 300 дойц 912-914 прежде чем затягивать гбц нужно поставить выхлопной коллектор потом уже гбц
на т-40 тоже самое и всегда затягивал трубой головки,а потом спокойно коллектора прикручивал,а вот вкладыши в бугеля не те заперли
