I noticed at about 11:32 in the video, some of the smaller guppies in this aquarium displayed extremely clamped tails. What in your opinion is the cause for this condition ? I ask because i have had this happen several times with some of my younger fish. A solution would be much appreciated 👍
you should add a dedicated amount of salt for freshwater fish that we introduced in the previous video, then increase the water temperature to 2 degrees Celsius warmer than the ideal level, good luck!
@@GuppyChannel I've tried the salt and increased temps in the past with some success. What eludes me is the cause of the condition. Do you think it could be fish TB brought about by lizard feces in the water? I have noticed lizard droppings in the water and this can harbor salmonella bacteria which in turn can cause septic conditions.
Subscription done. Was not keeping breeding nets prior. My Guppy frys were consumed by the mothers themselves. Now am upbringing a new breed raised up from a couple of imported pairs of which one is a Champion breed. Taking max efforts to have it grown to adulthood. Having around 50-75 frys from 4-6 breeding now. It breeds in lesser numbers though.
Although your guppies give birth to few, if the fry are healthy, it is a good thing, by the way thank you for subscribing to our channel, wish you a great time with your beautiful guppies

if it is a tetra company food then we think it is fine, but the growth rate of baby guppies depends on many other factors, please see our baby guppies care videos
fish tuberculosis can cause symptoms such as imbalance, curved spine, ruffled scales, swollen eyes, loss of color, and death. @@GuppyChannel if it’s just the curved spine then it’s scoliosis and curved spine with those symptoms is tuberculosis? Sorry for asking a lot of questions
You should focus on the quality of the breed, do not try to treat scoliosis, it is impossible, get rid of individuals with scoliosis to avoid the risk of spreading if it has fish tuberculosis
80 degrees and the adults stay in the baby making mode full time. I get much hardier and healthier Endler guppies at 72 degrees. The males color up spectacularly and aren't revved up to breed like they are at higher temps. I also keep Amano shrimp in the guppy tank and they prefer 72 degrees as well. Less algae from less food wastage is another plus. Anyway cooler temps means longer lived fish so cooler is better in my experience...
Endlers have more vitality than guppy about 60% to 80% and their lifespan is also longer than guppy, higher temperature metabolism will happen faster which means their lifespan will be shorter

the feces of other animals that fall into the aquarium are one of the causes of changes in water quality, it is best to limit that to occur frequently

you can try with guppy grass, an aquatic plant that filters water very well
