You don't need a check valve to prevent draining, you just need your air intake positioned above the water line. That will prevent any siphoning from happening.
Nice!! Im looking to build a similar setup for crayfish but it's gonna have to be a few sizes up 😂 Gonna use the exyra long 45 gallon tubs instead I already have one full of ammonia going that Im waiting for the nitrigen cycle to take hold in. Probably gonna add 2 or 3 more and then Im gonna have a shelf with a bunch of smaller tanks for holding babies and as general use holding takes and emergency backups. Im also considering getting one of those plastic sets of drawers if I can find one big enough. Then I can add filters and aeration to each level and use the drawers as tubs for the babies. Ill figure it out eventually but this helps quite a bit as far as brainstorming goes. 👍
Hey Christopher please post on a regular basis and also do make videos other than fish videos, what i mean to say you can adopt done animals or reptiles and make good set ups/enclosure for them which you are best at. I love your videos
Wondering if my idea would work i have had great success breeding swordtails with floating planters so babies fall thru and more survive. Im just eandering if gubbies would too
Is a dechlorinator necessary for water that sits out uncovered for days? I use Seachem Safe for ponds and it's so concentrated it'll last you for years no matter how much water you're treating.
No - chlorine evaporates naturally within a day or two. It will just take longer to cycle the tank - as chlorine will kill any bacteria that would otherwise help filters cycle. So if you don't want to use dechlorinator, just wait a couple days before starting the cycling process.
@traviswilliams2789 Thank you. It was more of a rhetorical question but I don't believe a lot of people know that basic information so I appreciate you answering it. The less chemicals we have to put our tanks, the better, imo. I use my Safe mostly to dechlorinate Purigen after I recharge it, as a precaution. It's pretty handy for that purpose.
Inbreeding is not the problem. But if there is a hereditary defect in the DNA, it is reinforced with each generation of inbreeding. First of all, it is a good idea to have a fixed breeding group. All offspring immediately. Keep the breeding stock for life. Then the inbreeding doesn't go that fast either. If the guppies look good, you can replace a dead animal with a beautiful animal from the offspring. If you prefer to buy a new one, it's more difficult. A new animal can bring disease and cause disaster. Therefore, put the new guppies in a separate container. And after six months you use daughters from the quarantine group to supplement your breeding group. (For example, you replace all breeding females) If you want to avoid overcrowding, look at the young guppies with a magnifying glass after two or three weeks. The females have a dark spot on the back of their abdomen, near the base of their tail. Separate them from brothers and nephews at that age. Because young males can fertilize their sisters and nieces within four or five weeks. The female stores the sperm until she is fertile and then she becomes pregnant. But if you separate them in time, a female tank and a male tank, the females will grow longer. They grow bigger and you don't have an overcrowded tank.
The large sponge filters you were showing are both rated for 40gallons not 55-65. Don’t give me the “we designed this” cause we both know you buy from a distributor then resell for profit. Atleast don’t give the wrong information. And on top of that if your air pump can’t supply the air needed that 40gallon rate is highly impacted
You can literally buy them pregnant no they're not😭 literally breed themselves fine unless you let them eat them or something stupid but that's a simple problem with a simple solution if ur guppies won't breed at all than u have bad water conditions or unhealthy fish cause improper care
ive been checking out many creators lately and I can say I wont be watching your vids because every 2 seconds your selling stuff and shouting out your website. tired of commercials shoving ads down our throat and you do it many many times each vid.. good luck
Thanks for watching! Let me know below what we should do with the big items I show you in this video!

A saltwater pond sounds awesome! I love guppies and I can't wait for future updates!
It's been a while, good to see you uploading.
I can't wait for all that is to come and I love seeing how this channel is growing.
This channel sucks there’s hardly any updates on anything seems like he just fails over and over breeding different things

Awesome video! A saltwater pond sounds awesome!
You should do a video showing us all the animals. Like an animal update.
YOU SHOULD GO CATCH A ALIGATOR GAR for THE POND
What happened to the last guppy breeding project?! 👊🏻✌🏼
Wondering if my idea would work i have had great success breeding swordtails with floating planters so babies fall thru and more survive. Im just eandering if gubbies would too
What size air pump would i need for a 3 tub set up? Is it best to figure it by watts or gallons?
Why can’t I find any videos on your gambusia
I noticed you didn’t use a heater? I’ve read that heat can increase breeding.
Yes do a salt water pond that would be a great addition!!!
Love your videos
Question.. with adding so many new plants to a new tank, wont the plants die from lack of food in the tanks?
They eat the bacteria created from the food excess and/or fish poop
Many of my guppy fry are developing crooked spines. I bought my male from a different person than my females. How can I prevent this in the future?
Don’t let them breed
This is a great idea for shrimp
Personally I would do a koi pond in the 700. By the way where can you find those 700 gallon tubs? I would love to get my hands on one of those.
I am just getting back into fish keeping - I thought a guppy/endler cross was sterile ? did I get mixed up
Do u need to cyle the tank?
I just made my first strain then crossed them with blue moscow.
Proof?
Hi, what is your temperature in your tanks?? for the guppy's
Where do you get it fish from? There beautiful 😍

What kind of guppies are those
Now how would you do a heater in them bins
You keep room temp about 75
Any updates

Also.. if you breed 2 guppies of the same color/type.. do the fry come out random colors or the same as mom/dad?
I think some of the babies will be from former dads.
Do you use male or female endlers?
Make vids with Brenton
And with Paul too with good contents like 1vs1
@@sahudeenesh6580 Paul is not cool
Should change you channel name to budget boss
I liked the very nice video
Yes the first one and the first comment 🫶⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🫶🔥💯💪🤟👊 Let’s Go!!!!!!! Yesssssssssssss!!!!!!!
You haven’t uploaded
Check valve are completely useless if you put your pump atleast a foot above your highest tank.
Check my new guppy set up “it’s like shark week
Saltwater sucks. Put an Arowana in there!
I want guppy

THIS is a guppy breeding DIY "tub" pond and DIY filter.

🤣🤣🤣
You also don't require filters, heaters or air pumps in tanks. Yet majority of people will use them.
You clearly missed the point of the comment, Youre nothing but misinformation on alot of your videos @@Smerdzy

Guppies are not easy to breed
You can literally buy them pregnant no they're not😭 literally breed themselves fine unless you let them eat them or something stupid but that's a simple problem with a simple solution if ur guppies won't breed at all than u have bad water conditions or unhealthy fish cause improper care
They are literally one of the easiest fish to breed💀🤡
