Journal One of my Dollar Tree Journal Challenge

Welcome! Here we are, journal ONE of my, 'How many Dollar Tree Journals can I made?' Challenge. (the Haul & Plan- ish video: • Dollar Tree Journal Ch... . Hang out with me as I make a journal from a candy box using mostly items from the Dollar Tree. Y'all, fair warning this is my very first video with me figuring out my new video editing app. There's "glitches" but at least there is also some entertainment because several parts in this video might feel more like a blooper wheel...LOL... it's okay to laugh with me. I get there in the end..... ish ;) I mean I do get a journal made -ish :D
This personal challenge I gave myself is also overlapping with The Dollar Tree Junk Journal Challenge hosted by @PaperTerrace (Here is her video explaining all that • Paper Terrace Dollar T... ) My journal ONE comes in well under the 20.00 budget of #paperterracedtjj (even though mine is "naked", I still have plenty of budget left to make some ephemera to add in later. Maaaaaybe there will be a part 2

bahahahaha I love your entertaining video Michelle! You crack me up I like the highlighter idea and will give it a go - I definitely had my highlighters set aside and they are a basica supply - I am a student now and always using them so they are definitely a base for me haha! I really love the green paper with the dots - its yummy - it might be a beginner question but how did you get the dots affects?

I had to rewatch some of the video to figure out what "green paper with dots"?... LOL. So it's dyed book pages. I used an easter egg dye kit. Took a big foam brush to sloppy /messy "paint" the dye over the page. I stack them on a cheap metal baking sheet (aluminum foil kinda but much thicker but not sturdy like a regular cookie sheet kind of pan) . The baking sheet has a texture on it that leaves the dots where the dye pools.
