    For those of you who are curious about how Throttle Controllers work in the sand on the 4WD... check out my video review linked in this comment 👍 I also show how to use it when bogged 🚙 Cheers, Rob

    Excellent job Rob, you are showing me all the places to get to... Been to Bribie and camped over the other side of the Passage with a bit of boating and fishing around the place - been thinking about a 4wd trip over to the other side and now Its on the list Cheers.

      Hey mate! Yeah it's a perfect little spot that is still close to Bris. A lot of people overlook it for Straddle or Fraser... But Bribie holds its own! 👍 Glad you enjoyed the vid mate... Doing my best to step up the production value for you all 😁 cheers, Rob 👍

      G'day mate! Yeah, Bribie with good weather is always a guaranteed good day out... especially if you can avoid the crowds and go during the week! Glad you enjoyed the clip! 😎

      @@TheWandererAUS Might have to check it out. I’ve always kept going up to Double Island because I thought Bribie had too many wombat holes for me to get over in our Subaru Forester.

    We love Bribie but haven’t camped on the surf side for a lot of years. I might have missed it, but did you mention you need a permit to drive on the beach?
    Looks like you had a perfect day & it’s an easy drive, I’d give it a 4.5 at least 😊

      Howdy Howdy! Yeah you do, can be purchased online... it will register your number plate and snap a photo when you drive through onto the beach. Yeah we got super lucky with the weather the day we went, but a hot tip... go through the week and not the weekends if you can... a lot less people on the beach :) 4.5 Akubras is a good rating for sure!

      G'day TReyy! Thanks for the comment mate! You will have a great time over there, that's for sure! In recent times, they have blocked vehicle access to the WWII ruins, not sure if that is still the case, however, even if it is blocked off to vehicles, you can still walk up to them and check them out. Hopefully you have some great weather on your trip over there! Let me know how it goes... you will have a blast for sure! Glad you enjoyed the clip! Cheers, Rob 😎

    Magic place. We have plenty of bush in Vic but not many beaches open to 4wds.

      Yeah beach driving is definitely a privilege! Once all these borders open properly, I'm looking to hit the high country down your way 👍

    Impressive destination, and impressive video 👍
    My wife is a beach addict, but I'm more of a gumtree, red sand and mulga kind of guy, so sorry... I'll be hiding this video from her 😂😂
    Keep up the great footage mate, I always look forward to the next upload 🍻

      G'day Marty! Awesome to hear from you mate... Hope all is well 👍 thanks for the kind words mate... Trying to up the production value for you all 😊 yeah, I'm a little torn on that one... I love the red dirt and outback scene... But a beach day is always on the cards 👍 thanks mate, heading back to the bush for the next vid 😊 cheers mate, Rob!

    I’ve been to Bribie dozens of times back in the eighties and seen none of what you showed use in this clip , how’s that for the luck of the draw in WWll . Imagine sitting around at the end having a few beverages yarning about what you did , what did you do Adam , well I marched through the jungles of New Guinea and meet the Japanese head on . And you Jack what did you do , I was one of the rats of Tobruk and stopped Romels Africa Corp . And Jo what about you , well I was in Singapore when it fell and spent the rest of the war as a POW , And you Rob what did you do , well I was on Bribie Island manning the coastal guns. 😎 Looks like the cooking improving, I’m a Bega strong and bitety fan myself 👨‍🍳 Anther great clip keep em coming ,stay strong 👍😊🇦🇺

    No need to lower tyre pressures. That place is simple to drive.

    • @TheWandererAUS
      @TheWandererAUS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For a lot of people, you are right... probably don't need to drop them down, however, a lot of first time sand drivers head to Bribie due to it's proximity to Brisbane, so obviously wanting to give out good practice information. 🙂👍

  • @sg3596
    @sg3596 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    haha Max trax and snatch straps. learn to drive. Lived onBribie for many years. Never let the tyres down and no need for rescue crap if you can drive. Just another no idea day tripper.
