    New to your channel, 1st video I’ve watched. As a fairly frequent visitor to Bribie I was interested to see how you put it across. Great video & very informative.
    Another option is the inland track & even camping at poverty creek (although make sure have mozzie repellent!)
    Sounds like your from Brissy area & will look forward to seeing your vids.

      Hi Andy, Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Yes I'm a Brissy local for now and do feature a lot from the south east queensland area. Thanks so much for the tip on Poverty Point, it's also on my list and do want to check out the inland tracks at some stage. After 4 cancellations, I was just glad to be there HAHA.
      Bribie is very nice though and loved waking up to the sunrise on the beach, I think poverty point would be the sunset side - Is that right?
      Will remember the repellent :) Thanks

      I'm featuring a lot of North Qld video's at the moment ( between Cairns and Cooktown), but heading off camping again soon to a few different places from Brisbane, so i'll be featuring those after that!

      Another one all loaded up for Sunday morning...it's a long one too so expect to sit there for a while 😁
      I hope you like it.
      You right, price rises are making it hard but there are still ways to find things for free and keep costs low.
      I've been sticking to south east queensland for a while to get a big lot of work done on my blog...hopefully I can get away again soon.
      Are you following my FB and Insta or signed up for my emails? I posts photos and blogs through that too 😁...links in the video description 💖 but they will keep you going through the week before another video comes out 👍👍

    Nothing beats an amazing adventure like this! I had some myself during my time in Australia! I remember exploring Fraser Island on a 4x4 just like this, still one of my favourite memories to this day! Pretty amazing that you came across some old war relics too, pretty unique find in such a beautiful place! I'd love to take part in an adventure like this again some time soon! Great work, new friend here to support you!

      @AquariusTraveller  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there and thanks so mich for the wonderful comment. I've been to Fraser a few times and it's an awesome spot to see.... actually only released a video a few months ago about it. The 4x4 drives are great fun and not always as crowded as other places and so calming driving on the sand 👍😁

    Hi,
    I’m actually booked to stay on site 55 tomorrow (21/2/24). Can you tell me were you happy with that site? Also how far is it from the toilets?

    • @AquariusTraveller
      @AquariusTraveller  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Michael, the site was great, but depends what your after. Site 55 is behind the dunes and protected from the winds.
      The toilets are still driving distance away.
      I think I would choose a higher site next time like 9 or 10, with views of The beach from the site... but only if there is no wind 👍👍

    What can't you get a yearly permit anymore or something, why would you tell people buy a weekly permit for that price when you can het a yearly for bugger all more.

    • @AquariusTraveller
      @AquariusTraveller  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good point... it's definitely cheaper to get a yearly permit but unless you plan to access 4 times or more... the weekly is better for us....and not everyone lives around here that watches my videos.
      I would love to go to bribie more and camp... but it took us too many times to get there for this trip.

    Always cool to see remnants of history when out exploring. Bribie Island looks like a pretty cool place! Kinda pricey for the day pass but certainly worth it to be able to explore!kangaroos!!!

    • @AquariusTraveller

    Great adventure, Chris! I was happy to see you add a little footage of cooking on the camp stove...it adds to the flavour. That poor roo was missing part of its ear; how do you prepare roo ear? Over the camp stove, or fire? :P

      Love to try different things and add some variety ...see what works.... glad you liked it.
      You might be surprised to hear that we do eat kangaroo over here... it's actually one of the highest protien and lowest fat meats in the world... obviously not the ears though...lol... going to have to watch that again as I didn't notice.
      I like saying kangaroo for the overseas watchers but this was actually a wallaby... often smaller and different colours to the kangaroo.
      Thanks for watching this one, but on a road right now and got lots more new content coming your way 👍👍

    Hey Chris, we are so glad you and Matt were finally able to camp here 🙌
    How nice you can access this island via a bridge vs ferry.
    That is interesting you need a permit for camping AND driving on the beach. Do visitors have to demonstrate any knowledge of how to safely drive and not get stuck?! Or can anyone get a permit like that?
    I would try and book 9 and 10 too..those views 😍

    • @AquariusTraveller
      @AquariusTraveller  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anyone can drive there and in any vehicle...there are plenty that get stuck .... there are people around that will help you or the rangers.
      Heaps that don't drive safely either. I've seen plenty of clips where people have nearly got run over.... but there are hefty fines if caught doing the wrong thing.

    • @AquariusTraveller
      @AquariusTraveller  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't believe it took so long and a little disappointed we didn't get the site we wanted....but it's very close and can go back one day.

      It's only been in the last few years Matt has been driving on sand... doesn't take long when you learn the best ways to do it. Driving up the sand dune in the outback last year was a real test...
      Currently on a palm tree filled beach in North Queensland... lots of new content coming soon from this trip 👍
