I just can not believe I've only learned of this form of motorsport recently, it's so much fun holy shit! Super accessible so you see a tonne of different cars, and a single lap around a small oval is the perfect quick and dirty way of finding out who's car/driver combo is fastest that day.
I had a blast even with car issues, but I will 100% be back next year! 🏁

Some people think their car is fast until they bring it to a track lol.
I took my 06 3.9L V6 monte carlo to the track for fun. On the streets, it's beaten most of the cars that tried me in it. It's not exactly fast either. Does 0-60 in 7 flat. Took it to the track and was probably in the bottom 10 slowest cars there lol. Even a 3.6L GMC terrain with 4 people in it ran almost a second faster than I ran.

I'd be willing to bet that S-10 Blazer has all GMC Cyclone running gear. Full time 4wd, turbo charged 4.3, They did a road test on a Cyclone (it's an S-15 pickup with the 4 wd Astro Van running gear) and the little P-cup outran a Ferrari 308 in a standing start 1/4 mile drag race.

Excellent job again Tberg! Was hoping to make this event and see the Seekonk guys represent. I’d love to see these Florida guys come up to race the 1/3 mile. With seekonks operation and fan base it would be incredible. 10,000 cheering on this field! Now that would be a lot of fun!
yeah thats what they do out here lol my dads friend Todd used to race his C5 at seekonk and was a serious deal. That car was fastttttt. its crazy how much work goes into cars like that

I'd love to see this become a streetcar shootout style race where the cars have to drive 50 miles before they race. Would eliminate some of the full blown race cars. Great coverage as always. Glad I could hear the exact moment my supercharger belt left me stranded.
I don’t believe there was a car there that couldn’t accomplish this, even the vettes. They road race so I’m sure they could cruise for an hour. I would like to see a stricter tire rule to include side syping, to eliminate Hoosiers and other cornering slicks

Some really close races!
The Evo cut off the 3000GT and wasn't leaving enough room. The thing that costed the black Camaro twice in Round 3 was how close he and the Lotus got at turn 1, causing drag to make him loose. I was so disappointed when the C5 was beaten by the Tesla. If only the C5 had a better launch in the third round of the race, he would have had a much better chance at beating the Tesla.
ye or if the race was just a single round longer tesla would see the dust too, its just the launch giving it such a big advantage
You’re 100% right with the 3000gt. I hate how quick tracks are to make this decision. The 3000gt already gained that line and the evo ran in on him. Obv imo

From a sportsmanship POV, I'd rather choose to watch equally matched vehicles compete against each other. This was like watching Mike Tyson vs. Glass Joe. Sure, they're both boxers and in the same arena with the same objective but anyone watching(even a child) can see there's something unsportsmanlike happening. As a promoter, I couldn't quantify paying out $10K for this.

Yes, he can drive. His expensive, souped up, 0-60 in-no-time, constant torque electric super car. I assume he wouldn't have come this far driving the EVO or VR4, no to mention one of the Firebirds or the crazy Blazer.

@1:10:43 you can see the EVO cut in on Mike, That black batch is the edge of Mike's lane and EVO cuts in instead of winding it out up towards the wall. This is the point where they should be throttling out of the corner and the EVO is still turning in WTF?
Might be easier to ask where the Evo driver is from and where the 3000gt driver is from? That goes a long way lol

👌Thoroughy enjoyed video. Tesla (EV) should have a short delay time at start, given that instanteneous acceleration there's evidentally a disadvantage to the rest (ICE). Kudos to the EVO, my Man of the day!
I tried to warn everyone that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust.
Love how they say if you take someone's line your out so shouldn't the Evo be out since he cut in on the VR4's line I'm confused on the clear pick n choose of when n who the rules apply to
The tesla issue can be fixed with a second lap, even the hill climb special that won is a one trick pony, hard launch then take the inside and block the track, every time. they are slow in the corners and have no top end pretty boring to watch.
Two lap races WAY more fun to watch period.

I was not happy with what happened to Vincent. I saw a different angle and it is a hard one to call. The Evo should have drifted up a bit, that's what you would think would happen. It was disappointing to say the least.
100% agree. Jumping the gun on that decision as most tracks do. Some say he ran up on the evo but I think it’s quite obv that the evo didn’t give Mike his line that he already gained
I felt like the Evo came towards the inside of the track and took his line. Should have been the same call as when the corvette got pushed into the wall. Otherwise they open up the ability for anyone with the lead to cut off the other driver. I realize the the FF team is doing the best the can at running fun events and its much easier to analyze something after the fact on video. I'd like to hear a FF member comment on that incident now that they have had time to review.
