Dear God Bob is talented. Just listen to a random snippet like Dolphins of Color, more than half soused at 4 am on your local time. A thoroughly composed, emotionally wrenching song with intense lyrics. The crowd just don't know what to expect. And who can blame them. Man basically showed up with 30 plus new songs to their ears. Thanks LARM. I enjoyed your posts on DTS! Wig out, man.
Bob's like from another planetary orbit where everyone is born with exchangeable livers....finally a long last got to see GBV at the Paradise in Boston last May....cooler and all.....tossing bls to the audience....awesome
It's so weird to hear someone other than Doug Gillard play the Things I Will Keep solo but man, Tommy Keene nailed it. This is definitely a contender for one of the strongest backing bands Bob has ever had.
Dave Phillips name came up in a conversation with my 10 year old son the other day re: 'Geniuses who followed their bliss, bailed on academia.' Big Fan... Oh, I just see that I've been here before, but just happened upon as Uncle Bob visits town after too long an absence next week and was ISO some recent live footage. Hey UP!
I've listened to this concert about five times already and I've just now realized that at 1:07:14 you can hear Rob Pollard burp. What does that say about me?
I was at this show too! I was amazed at how completely drunk of his ass Pollard was for the encore but yet sang in tune and stayed upright! The smoking and drinking thing is getting way out of hand though...
RIP Dave Philips.
This is a personal favorite era of Mr. Pollard

I was there. Just actually listened to my boot of this yesterday and found it on youtube today. How nice.
I was at this show and remember Patterson Hood of Drive by Truckers rocking out next to me
