The "It's dangerous to go alone" meme is once again referenced in Tears of the Kingdom in the description for the Sword of the Hero (which itself is a reference to the sword Link uses in the original game). "Take it when going alone would otherwise be dangerous."

Another TOTK reference! If you use Ascend inside the Great Deku Tree to go into the Deku Tree's mouth, you'll see a korok with a quest to renovate the mouth as his secret room. When completed, the korok will proclaim "It's a secret to everybody!" A nod to the infamous line from the NES original.

29:48 I believe it must have been a reference in the Japanese game as well. The "over 9000" line is actually a mistranslation from the American dub, the original Japanese line in DBZ is "over 8000", so the game giving a random number just above 8000 must have been a reference to DBZ.

Speaking of Square Enix (in case it wasn't mentioned since I'm not entirely through the video yet and I'll forget by the time it's done), nearly every single FATE and quest name in the English version of Final Fantasy XIV is some kind of pop culture reference. But that would be an entire video on its own.
I think there's a FATE called "Smells Like Tree Spirit" or something

29:50 I mean the 9000 itself was a mistranslation, Goku's actual power level according to the scouter was over 8000. It's no wonder the Freiza Force needed new scouters if it capped off at 8000 so early into DBZ.
It wasn't a mistranslation, it was changed to fit the lip flaps
its pretty difficult to mistranslate japanese numbers, i think it was a conscious decision

I wonder if Sega will ever reference the time Bubsy came back for a breif while and the Bubsy and Sonic twitters ribbed each other and the Sonic twitter replied to the thread and @ mentioned to the Mega Man twitter something along the lines "Hey Mega Man, you gotta get in on this" and Mega Man was all "What's a Bubsy Bobcat? Sounds like a maverick's name" (this is especially funny because the Mega Man twitter didn't normally make in-character tweets but did just for that occasion)
A lot of the time in Nintendo games, the North American localisation will have cringe dialogue and memes, and the PAL English localisation will be a more straightforward translation of the original Japanese version. The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes is a good example of this.

It was a message related to an in-vdeo advertisement. We take the ads out of these compilations, so the text wouldn't have made any sense on its own and we decided to blur it out.
btw, there's a meme in gaming you did not mention I think. In the Elecman Scenario in the first Megaman Battle Network game, you will come across many corrupted Mr. Progs on fixed points of the map of the dungeon of that scenario, who must be fought if you talk to them. One of them before they force a battle against you will say "All your base are belong to us", which is a reference to an infamous mistranslation of a game, that turned into a meme I think. A phrase we all know by now.

The WindClan trainer, aptly named Scarknee, will say something along the lines of “I used to be a brave warrior like you, then I took a blow to the knee.” When I first played it, I didn’t get the reference. But it’s hilarious now that I know where that reference came from now.
I love both Skyrim and Rune Factory! It's interesting to know that so many references to Skyrim in RF4, even if you can't see most in gameplay.

Neat to learn about the memes in games, I didn’t know the original source of a few of them.
In the Skylanders franchise there's a child mabu NPC that reacts to whatever skylander your playing as, if you play as Warnado and interact with him he says "I like turtles" referencing the classic meme of a kid saying the famous phrase when being asked about his zombie face paint by a reporter.
1:15 Those faces/memes were never meant to be viewed in 3D & are therefore so terrifying I'd expect to see them in a Scott Cawthon game 😂
Pretty sure the original manga (apparently I'm one of those guys) puts the power level at over 8000, so I'd say it still fits.
As an indie dev for like over 10 years, it's big understatement to say that I've always enjoyed outting Easter eggs in my games. And it's pretty obvious to see how memes are a more modern way of doing that. If San Andreas could have the panel above the bridge that said "no easter eggs here, go away" then I can have my ancient temple ruin columns look like the Loss pattern!
