Technically it's made out of 6 wood types and 2 mushroom types (the 2 nether mushrooms), but due to the fact they can burn, be turned to planks, buttons and so on, these 2 can be considered as wood types too.

Well it's not my fault that the majority of the creeper craters in my world are kinda NOT TOO NEAR MY BASE. I specifically fight creepers on the holy plains near mt. Shark so as to not blow up shrekville.
But at this point, it looks like a WWI Norman's land, and combat is increasingly difficult, so I should probably do something...

I dropped Gurthril, my Sharpness-4 ubreaking-1 mending-1 looting-3 knockback-2 fire aspect-2 netherite sword on an exploding creeper on 2 or 3 occasions. The last time was the last time. It was destroyed. My new sword, Raukarist, has sharpness IV and mending but nothing else.
Petition mojang to make dropped netherite items explosions proof (they are fireproof, and netherite blocks are explosions proof so why not netherite items?

The java "NoOOoOO java is better" argument based off micro transactions isn't that solid- you don't really need to buy anything, as far as Iran tell. In any case, buying java edition as a whole is more expensive than bedrock
But that's just my observation/opinion. They each have great benefits. For instance, bedrock has better performance. Java has snapshots and the better combat, along with a more useful offhand slot.
I play both, and I like both equally (though my SMP is on bedrock so I play that more)

Bedrock PvP is actually quite similar to pre-1.8 java pc, with the noticeable difference that shields *do* replace fencing battle sword blocking. Interestingly enough, timing your attacks rather than spamming is actually a part of it, as I discovered last week while playing a PvP minigame. Overall, as the mean states, it is kind for a hybrid. 1v1 resembles modern java, but add more than 1 player on either side and it is much more like 1.8 or earlier, as shields become almost worthless and spam clicking achieves a similar success to sweeping swords in java.
