I love Mario Party DS. It was the first one I played before discovering a whole main series. My second Mario Party game was Mario Party 9, then I collected every other one that came out after that.

The Top 100 was my favorite Mario Party game until now, I wasn't really a board player myself until Superstars came out yesterday (the 29th). Now I understand why a lot of people didn't like it that much.

I grew up playing Mario Party 8, and recently bought the first 3 for my N64. So I’m looking forward to playing through those.

The only thing that I’m sad about for Superstars is that they didn’t keep the costumes for the MP2 boards… I loved those

Weird how I never knew about mp1 as it was a blurr to me until I noticed from a friend that had mp1. I was playing 2 my whole life then the ds. The old fun days.

I'm not going to lie, here - the graphics for _Mario Party 4_ through _Mario Party 9_ as well as _Mario Party: Island Tour, Mario Party: Star Rush_ and _Mario Party: the Top 100_ look superior on a PC emulator rather than on native Nintendo hardware because there are *_a lot_* fewer jaggies (staircase artifacts) on the edges of objects on PC emulated versions of these Mario Party video game titles (not to mention that they are in full HD). I know this because I've seen Nintendo Utopia's TH-cam video game gameplay videos on TH-cam for these Mario Party video game titles.

I think Mario party DS was the best. Might be a biased opinion but I liked the touch games, mic games, just a lot of variety. the newer mp for switch do not compare. Only button and sensor games. Still fun tho lot of nostalgia ;-;

MP1: The firstest and the rawest of them all.
MP2: Now players can have and use items, with max items is 1.
MP3: Now max items is 3, and each is divided into Toad group and Baby Bowser group
MP4: Mega-Mini mechanics, the Lottery Shop and Lucky Party Ticket Drawing at the last 5 turns
MP5: Items replaced with Capsules that can be thrown on a space for free or used on yourself if paid coins
MP6: Capsules (or rather, Orbs) are divided into 4 groups, and there is day-night cycle on each board
MP7: Same Orb mechanic, and Bowser is wrecking havoc every 5 turns
MP8: Motion controls, transforming Candies instead of Orbs, and DK/Bowser space replacing each other
MPDS: There are now both Items and Hexes, the latters are the traps like Yellow Orbs
MP9: Now everyone drives the same vehicle, battle bosses, collect Mini Stars and get to the finish line
MPIT: Short boards where the one who comes first to the end is the winner
MP10: Similar to MP9, but Bowser is now locked up until every Dice block number is rolled before homestretch
MPSR: Everyone is moving simultaneously, they either go for the boss having stolen a Star, or for the Star balloons which cost coins to pop
MP100: Similar to MPSR, but instead of picking one of 4 minigames, the one is chosen randomly between all players picked their favorite
SMP: Back to MP1 like mechanic, but every character now has their unique Dice Block like in MPSR
MPSS: A throwback with slightly changed rules, adapted to the modern Mario Parties era
