  • In this video I’ll talk about if blow drying is better for your hair than air drying. I’ll also compare the popular Dyson Supersonic with an affordable dupe made by Laifen. It has the same blow drying technology as the Dyson that blow dries your hair quickly without damage. It’s a great alternative option.

I love my Dyson. Blow-drying ur scalp is key; prevents bacteria. Blow dry the rest on low or cool to prevent breaking with wet hair.

I use to air dry my hair, but I've been growing it out for years and one day after showering my hair got all of my shirt wet then I got sick. So I had to start blow drying it. Now that I blow dry it, it doesn't get frizzy anymore, not as many split ends anymore, and it's been growing faster now. I do live in an area that's humid and it rains quit often. So maybe that's another factor too.

Im 33 and haven't blowed dried my hair in 9 years. My hair is still unhealthy, thin and frizzy. I don't think blowdrying made that much difference to my hair when I used to all the time, it's because I always took good care of it.

I airdried for years and it was so difficult to work with. It takes forever for my hair to air dry, 6-8 hours.
So unless I washed it in the morning or afternoon, I had to sleep on it which damaged it.
And once it was dried, the texture was absolutely horrendous. Super frizzy and prone to matting (not just tangling). My hair would knot easier and worse, so when I would comb it I would damage my hair more often.
I bit the bullet and blowdry my hair twice a week on wash day now. I wait an hour after showering wearing a hair towel, use heat protection, and blow dry until it’s 75% dry. My hair is still healthy, probably even healthier than before.
It is really dependent on lifestyle and how your hair behaves! I get annoyed when people try to lecture me about how I’m frying my hair.

Completely air drying your hair can cause dandruff and clog the hair pores
Using the cold setting of the blow dryer can dry your hair fast as well as keeping it healthy since you aren’t burning it with heat.
