    When I chrochet I go over all the ends it's so much better than weaving them in.
    I always chrochet over as I go along
    I,m going to make this as a house warming gift.
    For the lady at my church she just brought her very first home.
    Thankyou for this pattern.
    Love and God bless you

    I love, love, love this pattern! Right now, I'm half way done making your pattern in an afghan for two newlywed friends of mine who are farmers. I'm making it in earth tones of brown, dark green, and cream. It looks great! I know they are going to love it. This is one of my favorite patterns ever, and I have thousands of patterns! Thanks so much!

    Nice tutorial!
    I love your easy 3-color inset Mosaic crochet technique to make a 'plaid' project! I'm going to try it with 1 strand only for a lighter weight ruana/kimono. I plan to slip stich contrasting colors alternately over the mesh base (your DC stitch pattern) to make it look like a tartan plaid...wish me luck.

    bouchan stitch i think its called, ive made three blankets, one for my grandson its three colors but i went every two stitches. my queen quilt i made four stitch gap like yours. all turned out nicely, thats been over 8years ago. so i like this since it lessens your work, it took me a month using one strand, the third blanket i made i alternated colors so it looked way different.... it has 6 colors. good work!

    Made this blanket in 2019 for a Christmas gift for a friend at work. When she got home and showed her husband, he'd already grabbed it and was completely covered up on couch with it by the time she he'd changed clothes...and he didn't want to share! It was a huge hit with everyone who has seen it. I did end up not putting the fringe on it for laundering purposes since my friend has a dog that I'm sure snuggles up with it also.

      @@teresagraham4816 Hi Teresa, yes I Bernat blanket yarn will provide and nice squishy warm blanket and I use a 12 mm hook ( I crochet tight). Its also easy to work with and comes in nice colour ways. My family can't wait until I finish the blanket. Thanks again for your wonderful instructions and sharing your talent.

      curlycords how many skiers of each color did you use?

    • @curlycords
      @curlycords 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@teresagraham4816 I am making a larger size blanket so that it will cover our couch. I bought 3 large balls of Bernat Blanket (300 grams/ 10.5 oz ) of one colour and 3 large balls of Bernat Blanket ( 300 grams /10.5 oz) of a contrasting colour. So basically 6 Bernat Blanket 300 grams each- 1800 grams for a two colour way blanket. If you want to use a three colours in your design - you can buy 2 large balls of each colour which would equal 1800 grams. IT's really a nice yarn to work with because it give you the warmth without the bulk especially when you are hold the hook and crocheting :)

    • @curlycords
      @curlycords 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@teresagraham4816 Yes, I have started and this yarn is so lovely and easy to crochet with....I am using a 12mm hook. This yarn provides so much warmth without the heaviness. I would definitely recommend it. I am not sure if I will be adding the fringe due to it tangling in the wash. My blanket is grey, burgundy and cream.
