Thank you.
How should I go about it using an extracted polysaccharide as sample to test for binded protein?
Thanx 👍👍👍
Welcome 👍
It would b a great help if you can explain to interprete the data from calibration curve (especially for the estimation of Ammonia in water). Thank you
Let me work on that!
Very nice understanding concept
hope you liked our effort, thanks!
Excellent 👍😊

Nice one , maybe you can buy one to play in home 🤪
That’s right!
I did have one, but not Shimadzu
The one I have is ocean insight STS series
STS series much smaller than Shimadzu uv1800
The size much smaller than EZ link card for MRT

You're so welcome!
we want such kind of spectrophotometers in our university
yay
Good very good
Thanks
👍🏻

Thank you very much
You are welcome
Just see the video when i'm scrolling. Thank you for such a video. I have a question. Do we need COD digester for this type of spectrophotometer? Suppose my sample is palm oil mill effluent(POME). how can I make my sample to do this test? like just take the sample and measure or I need to do other thing? Can I use Hannah instrument vials to do COD test in this spectrophotometer? I know my questions are like noob but I am seriously noob in this field. Thanks again for your time Sir.
You can use the referred instrument, it is possible to do the testing. But not the sensitivity,
@@chemfunman thank you prof.
Thank you very much sir

Glad it was helpful!
Thank u so much
Most welcome 😊
Very helpful one😊
Thanks man
You're welcome!
Is it necessary to use liquid samples? Can I use gel samples instead of liquid samples?
tough as it will conglomerate
causing diffracted rays - inaccurate detections
Thank you
This is very helpful
Thank you

If I am not mistaken, the korean Han-gul is read as kam-sa-ha-me-da? ^^
@@chemfunman Sir this is read as gamsahamnida which means Thank You ( in formal manner )
Informative
Finally a non-Hindi accent video :D (Thank God), Very good explanation, very practical, to the point and easy to understand. THANK YOU!!!
YOU ARE MOST WELCOME!! thanks for your support.
Can this method be use to identify different rum ?
it is possible by checking the wavelength of the different rums, give it a try please
Thank you so much . This has been very useful for my practical exam tomorrow
thank you! you are kind, do share these videos and subscribe.
Thank you :)
thank you so much! do Subscribe and share this with your friends! :D
good understanding us
should we get the curve calibration and lambda maximum first before testing the sampel?
or does it not apply to double beam spectrophotometer?
Yes you are right
@@chemfunman thanks for answering, didn't expect it because this video is 7+ years ago😤
@@rianaaja144 still valid today yea?
thank you so much , this has been very useful for my pratical exam ...
You are most welcome
Thanks ...It really helped me..I learned from this video how to operate it...I studied theoretically ...So this practical demonstration was helped me a lot..Thank you so much
most welcome!
what reference you use for carbon quantum dots for this study
Your channel has been SO helpful to improve my lab skills!! Thank you so much
I'm so glad! You are most welcome!
@@chemfunman when is says maximum absorption wavelength for compound does that mean if you shine a light at that wavelength it absorbs it the most 8:38
this is true given the range of wavelength, so from this standpoint, it is right@@uhoh5473
I am using your video for online practical class during this lockdown period. It is very useful. Thanks a lot.
You are most welcome. Feel free to use and share. Perhaps the best way is to have students to scaffold their thoughts in this platform. I find that it worked for my students as they spark ideas and clarify concepts
Thank you very much for your useful explanation

Thank you very much.
+Seif Eddine B You are most welcome.
Hello Dr. Fun, this was a great video!
(You should have named your channel "Dr. Fun", it would have been dope!)
Requests:
Are there any videos which explains the interepretation part of the data generated? I am well versed with the basic principles of spectroscopy, want to see what happens after the results are generated and where is that data stored and used. The data would be realted to the sample concentration, yes, but what next.
I prefer the applications of UV/Vis spectroscopy to be of pharmaceutical/biotechnology domain. It would be of great help if anyone can share the links to videos or articles or books.
Thank you!
Happy learning to all!
gahan, you can buy one spectrophotometer in home to play with it :p
Thank you so much, the video is quite clear and understandable.
You are welcome!
thank u soo much for this great video
If we want to take reading at different temperatures, is it possible with UV-Vis 800?
Looks likely
Thank you , it is helpful !!
Hello sir very effective information..I need to job in pharmaceutical company ...plz can u help me in search a job
Aap kaha se ho

@@chemfunman sure
Can you please make the video on preparation of nitrates
Will try!
Hello, may I ask where to download the software for this UV?
I appreciated tha thanks Mr
Thank you for your explanation
+Alex Tientcheu you are most welcome, take a look at other videos if you find them useful.
How can I take digital data from the instrument? Can one take data directly from instrument to plot in origin or excel
download excel sheet, or print out.
Is it possible to use UV-Vis to find out the color difference on wood that staining by fungi?
I don't think you can do that using this type of uv vis spectrometer. The sample has to be transparent to light. For solid samples you need uv vis DRS (diffusion reflectance spectroscopy)
thanks YH!
Nice sir please make learing video about LCMS Cromategraphy
i have any question, what are different between autozero and basecorection? we usualy using basecorection for spectrum, autozero for photometric.
If this situation arises , it can be corrected by performing an autozero operation (press the “Autozero” button.
can we do colourless chemicals in this spectroscopy???
+SANAULLAH KAMBOH Yes, this is still possible.
possible
can I use this spectrometer to measure transmittance on protein film
give it a try if this protein dissolves in the solvent
thank you very much! please subscribe and share this video with your friends!
Uv method water based in sulphate testing
Ok I will try
can i detect components of mixture and anylze concentration of inorganic liquids?
yes - you need to make sure you have a standard curve
@@chemfunman i want to analyze concentration of caustic, sodium aluminate and silicate solution.does uv fits my problem?
Tq so much sir
Thank you, it is very helpful! :)
Please help me,why we use it in Laboratory?
Actually what do we measure from this machine?
Sir plzz tell me..." For UV/Visible spectrophotometric graph the protein that is taken is first diluted??...mean first we take the stock solution of protein and then diluted it and then placed in spectrophotometer for measuring the absorbance ( for example at 280 nm)...
What happen if I missed to autozero? Is my data obtained without autozero before analysis still acceptable?
Yes
