Between hostile, ideological activisim in their content & raising park prices to the point of absurdity while hollowing out depth of creative immersion in favor of shallow IP plugs, Iger has shown a clear myopic focus on short term profits, like most modern CEOs, likely due to how much it benefits him and the board at the expense of customers & common shareholders. This almost always sets companies up for eventual failure through a slow vicious cycle of quality erosion, employee suppression, and consumer alienation. It's funny how much giant corporations that own too many assets resemble communist governments. Good job, Bob. It's time for their entire leadership to tag out.
I have mixed feelings about Bob. I appreciated his growth strategy but feel they are currently mismanaging their content asset base. The shenanigans around his retirement and return are also concerning. Disney has found itself on the wrong side of the macro-trends, Bob bailed during choppy waters, and now he’s been dragged back in to captain a ship that’s taking on water.
you have to be insane to own Disney stock.. what a dumpster fire.. Eiger is the poster child of overstaying his welcome.. talk about misplaced hubris..
This is excellent series of guests Thank you
hey Bob
Another great interview with two greats!
Just stop it. Losing 195 billion dollars in one year is not great.
@@StoicSurvivor99 Bob Iger was not CEO of Disney when that happened so actually that's untrue
@@lamontpounds2917 if the this was years ago, Then fine

What are IP plugs?
Bob destroyed so much shareholders value while enriching himself and the board. Good job!
DEI Apocalypse
Mind elaborating ?
What he do
Besides woke agenda stuff
his first run from 2006 till 2020 was fantastic for shareholders and his second although not as good is still positive.

he is too old and can’t think properly like most of our leaders
The importance of empathy and patience. I enjoyed listening to this conversation. Thank you.
Why would I take his advice about anything? Just buy other companies and milk the hell out of them.
Master crook right here
