    Rory's Irish dance school was one of the best. All his dancers were brilliant. If they turned up at a feis you knew it would be a tough one. All great fun. I remember seeing this on the tv way back then and Mam saying to watch his dancers aren't they great! Good memories.

    Nice to see again some real irish dancing when men were men and the girls had lovely legs in their black stockings. Brought back a lot of good memories. Must agree with rinceoirsean as an ex 60s McCoys dancer, our dancers we were hard to beat. Thanks Anna and many thanks clarebannerman for the video.

    I wish I went to Rory's school when I got the opportunity in 70s / 80s. They were all fantastic.

    Radio Eireann was set up in 1926 and this Late Late show was marking the 50 years of Radio broadcasting. So this was 1976

    My God you are a marvel Mike! Where did you resurrect this clip. Fantastic to see it. I remember Albert Healy very well and his son Noel a great accordionist also.
    Many thanks,
    Terry

    Does anybody have information on Rory O Connor? Is there a wiki for him?

    • @anneobrien4327
      @anneobrien4327 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’m his daughter Anne the girl on his immediate left hand side. Maybe I can provide you with some information. The guy next to me is my brother Brian . On Rory’s immediate right is my twin sister Breda . The other dancers were Patrick Farmington ( who passed away about 15 years ago. The other two girls were Noreen and Geraldine Dollard .

      Hi Anne. My sister Audrey Byrne danced for your father, her 2 mates were the Dollard sisters. I seen a few seconds of them dancing in an old video but no matter how hard I try cannot get a video of them dancing together. This is absolute class
