- On Sat 16th April 2016 I was lucky enough to get the keys to my new & very rare BMW M2, this video shows my genuine emotions of collecting such an amazing car. I had then organised a car meet with around 25 people (mostly M135 & M235 owners) & one other M2 owner at Southern Sky Motor Cars, we met Jack from AutoID who makes his own M3/4 style wing mirror covers for all F series BMW's including the M2! Finally around 6 of us convoyed into London where the M2 got a fair bit of attention... A very good day, thanks for those who made the effort!

Great question! Depending on where you live this could very easily be a daily driver.... The ride is firm but not uncomfortable, the seats are supportive and very comfortable, the exhaust is fairly quiet in comfort mode, it will also return 30mpg when taking things easy... Cheers Joe

Hey Joe, love the video, really entertaining. So great to see your enthusiasm and emotion when picking up such a beautiful piece of engineering. I almost cried with joy when I picked up my new 335i M Sport coupe a few years ago so I know how you feel. A car is more than something that gets you from A to B, it is pure joy especially with your M2. Love it.

Great video. This is how a car should make you feel. And how you know you got the right car. My wife recently bought herself a Mercedes C300 coupe. She's not a car person, so she got it styled how she liked. But the first time she got in it and drove it on the highway, it made her smile. Big. If the car does that to you, it's definitely right for you.

M2 is rather cute, congrats. I'm realizing that not much can come close to my C63 507 coupe -- now that's a real engine! Hydraulic steering, close to 50-50 weight dist., and MB reliability.
Why do you compare M2 with your C63? Better would be m4
True. I guess only because that's what I drive now and would consider the M2 as my next car. Drove the m235i and loved it, so I have high hopes for the M2 and hope to drive it soon.
I wish BMW's were more reliable though...
+Fluterra In terms of quality, i go with Mercedes. I have myself a SL 55 AMG and i'm still impressed of the SL. I had bad experience always with BMW's and still its not a quality brand for me. Your C63 motor is handcrafted, that's quality. Bmw motors are not and your afraid of the engine in about 80.000 km.
Nice car. You have the same as me a 7 + an M2. Mine's still being built but been waiting since November so seeing some other people happy with theirs is a relief.

I KNEW IT!!! The Passenger up front was mad that his friend bought an M2 lmao. He admitted it later in the video lol and I knew it right as you guys were leaving the Lot, He wasnt acting to happy about his friend buying the M2.

How did you get a full black grill? I can't find that stock, I only see a black grill with silver around it and if you want a full black one you gotta buy it later but it doesn't come stock.
Probably the only modern BMW I like.
once i get a decent job ill be buying the M2 , ive always liked the looks of the M4 but i will never be able to afford one so M2 will do just fine for me

It's just shows how much you love cars and that this is what you and this channel is all about. Inviting them guys to ride with your in your first ever time on in this car on the road was amazing . A lot of people would want that moment to themselves and be kinda selfish about it. Fair play man. I've subscribed loving the videos. Looking at a 1 series myself, don't think I can quite afford the M135i..

+Joe Achilles Lol then you probably only care about straight line speed, and think you need talent to push down a gas pedal.
I test drove one of these in Australia. They're great but they seem to hate driving below 60 kph. School speed limits are 40 kemp hand that's near impossible. Really lovely car. 106000 AUD for the pure (manual) and about 116000 AUD for the auto. It's either going to be that or a 235i convertible. Trading in the 228! Convertible.
Good work on getting a test drive so early in Oz... Yeah the DTC box is a little bit jerky at low speeds, the manual would be fine though and no different to a manual M235i. M235's are still one of my favorite cars, convertible version is less focused but still big jump over your 228i. What about a M235i Coupe with sunroof?

Nice! I just looked at the M2's a few days ago, and I loved everything, except for the carbon tail in the back...but I was excited about the Ford RS...but hte interior was so CHEAP liek a rental car! After 30 seconds with an M2, I decided that this is what I want as an upgrade to my Mazdaspeed3...which I just drove with a tabletop water heater that barely fits in the hatch (but not in an M2)! M2's are $50k in the US...I liek the new Blue paint.

So Joe i just need your opinion on this. Im between the m2 or the 2017 rs3. looking to tune whatever i get to a 700hp daily driver but also go to the track and maybe some drag racing. keep in mind i live in toronto canada. awesome video and channel by the way.

really like the stockiness of the m2, i enjoy my 335i for now, hopefully in the near future i can get behind the wheel of ones of these! i love the spec of this one, great choice.

I have no plans to change the exhaust at present, it's loud enough for old man me. All I care about is how it drives 🖒

That 7 Series has far too much road noise for a luxury car. The S-Class is considerably more refined on any surface.

The M2 is a hell of a ride!!! Tell me one thing, please: some motoring journalists say that the DCT in the M2 is fast upshifting, but a bit slow on downshifts... Did you notice that? In your opinion, wich is the best gearbox, this DCT or the Alpina D3 8 speed ZF?
