Dalton, I love you your Benko course. I was lamenting the lack of good Benko material on chessable, so I was excited when you dropped your course. It's been so much fun learning and playing it. Thanks for making such wonderful material.
Good stuff! I don't know squat about the Benko gambit. Always good to learn new concepts. I sometimes end up facing "Benko-style" positions as white, even as an e4 player. t'll be useful to know what my opponents are looking for in those cases.
@@user-ti4di1uh2d I play the Smith-Morra, which can lead to positions more common to d4 when the Morra gambit is declined. And yeah, some hypermodern stuff can go that direction as well.
Hi Dalton, saw your post in the course. I just played an e6 Benko in an OTB game against a master tonight. I played Rxa6 sacing the rook in a position it wasn't best in, but did manage to equalize/be a little better after some small mistakes from my opponent. I did lose in the end. I'm looking forward to the higher rating ranges in Speedrun. Thanks!
Glad to hear you tried out the opening in an OTB game! I actually have a video planned soon where I analyze a recent GM game with the …Rxa6 exchange sacrifice where he overcame some trouble and ended up winning later. Hopefully that video will be interesting to you 😃
I’ve recently decided to finally try to be good at chess after many years, and this channel is a gem with your in depth thoughts.
Happy to help 😃

Wait, how do you have Benko structure starting with e4? Does your opponent plays g6 c5 or something?

Just subbed! Waiting for more Benko gambit videos. Thanks for the great content!
