I main english but was not able to cross the 1000 barrier, decided to binge watch your jobava london series and fuck it apply it to a 910 ish ELO game and it work so fine since most of the lines are opening theory, now im in 1100 with 78% winrate on jobava but I always struggle on endgame, thanks for the teaching alex!

And please, repeated videos on specific openings do NOT get old because we get to see the same things over but with subtle variations and this is important to learners such as I. Even simple things like encouraging us to double our pawns when necessary because there can be advantages. I'd be scared to never do that because it looks awful. So thank you. And the pawn storm has really improved my win rate. Thank you!

@MCoTEDDY This is correct. Your opponents are playing vastly more poorly than 1900's. 1900 is the top 2% of all players. You're not even really playing chess until about 1400. Sub-1000 can't even look one move deep reliably, let alone 6-10.
Whats the advantage of having the knight on c3 compared to normal london system? apart from the mirrored fried liver, because 90% of opponents see it coming and play either a6 or Ka6 to prevent it.
Great chess instruction, at least for an intermediate wood-pusher like myself. Logical planning and logical candidate moves focusing on essentials in the position and how they lead forward. Going for tactics sometimes, but always taking care to improve the position.... finding those non-obvious best defenses to your attack (instead of like patzers everywhere, seeing that the opponent's most obvious defensive move sucks and stopping there because all his other defensive resources must be worse, right?) but without too much of that detailed over-calculating that my poor brain won't do (or I lose every game on time) ...but you obviously spot underlying tactics quickly and explain them. Just great instruction in that sweet spot in between truly high level chess and beginner stuff... that place where most committed amateurs like myself live.

It was possible, but I didn't want to allow complications after the ...Qb4 double attack. I spent a bit of time cause I felt like we should still be good, but wanted to keep it very simple
42:32 what do you do if they move the knight to b4 instead of the bishop? I get this a lot and I'm never sure if I could let them capture the Bishop on d3 or not. It seems the computer says to let them just take it. Sometimes it says take with the c2 pawn other times it says take with the queen. I usually take with the queen.
Hey Alex, Suggestion for the Jobava course: Please have all these games with the different motifs and traps in the course with the analysis. You've already done the videos anyway so it shouldnt be a big hustle. I noticed that the biggest problem at my level with the courses ive bought is that i cant easily translate the course material into my games. And the courses have like 5 sample games when the course has more than 40 lines in the study. Thanks!!
I realize that playing the Jobava can be considered a war crime. But Alex has placed the Caro into the same category, an opening I once considered a most probable loss for black. Great teacher.
Weak players often tend to play more cautiously and not try aggressive moves, especially when it involves losing (or just weakening) a pawn. One needs to learn how to exploit passive play.
For the love of god, I hope and pray that our boy Mr. Banzea chooses a spicy aggressive opening against the KID/fianchetto structures in his upcoming course and not something calm like in the regular London course.
I have never watched any chess guides and just casually play the game but 16 minutes in this is such an amazing video. So many tactics abuse, pawn pushing by opponent opening files for knight to move into etc Im 1700 but the 'pause the video' is such a fun exercise. Thank you. Cant really explain but love the vid bro
Not 'having my opponent played', but 'had he played': think 'if he had played', not 'if he having played' (anterior). Know that I and all your public have the highest respect for what you do.

Alex you are simply to good. when I watch your videos, I understand, in most cases catch things, but then I play, there is no way near 90% for longer games, it could be around 90% if opp blundering at start and game quickly ends. but in generally 70-80%, if losing 60-70%. and I would say in 70% games I am out of opening knowledge on move 1 to 5.
Bro you are the best , way better than Levy and the rest! Love this java system but i feel like the CC sucks horribly..seems like white always has a better position from the opening in tournament play if Black does not find the absolute best moves to play!.. thanks 1900-2000 ratings

On min 20:20 before playing f3, couldnt u play queen h5 threatning queen b6 check that basically has no defence?
Then what? You are too zoned in on the enemy king instead of targeting the real weakness (isolated pawn on the a-file)

Why do my opponents below 700 elo never play as weak as your ones that are higher rated against the jobava london ???
Because you don't play as solid as an IM, make a big blunder by move 8 and then proceed to lose the game.
