You're absolutely correct. You have to put yourself out there and learn it yourself and put it into practice until you get the gist of it. That's how I learned, and your videos were and still are a massive help to master the program so thank you for creating the resources for people.
How does one transfer a view from one project to another without using a plug-in? ...... .. Transfer Project Standards isnt working or maybe its bc the view template im making isnt showing up..
Thank you for this! I am a very fresh rookie at Revit. I started a few days ago. Yesterday I almost went bald pulling my hair because I could not figure out how to load missing families. Today's practice is going much better. Your beginner tutorials are helping quite a lot!
You sir are an amazing human being. I can’t thank you enough. I’m in a very unique situation. I’m an RCDD but all my experiences are field related. I was just hired as a designer for division 27 and all of my colleagues are architects and engineers. I was king in the field, now I’m the peasant lol. You’ve helped me understand and have given me the tools to succeed. I can’t thank you enough.
just bought the course monthly subscription honestly he is just so clear with things and everything is so well placed I have learned in only 2 hours what took me maybe 3 weeks with scattered courses.. saves time I really want to get my certification and this feels like the best way....
I have been learning revit just only a few months. first ı had a basic course online. now my strategie is watching more youtube videos of yours because my native language isn't english too, maybe that noticed😊. and you're explaining and speaking so sweet and understandable. thank you so much.👌👌👌👏👏👏
Best tutorial for any program ever. Lol. I would say, once you learn Revit a little bit, try to model the house you are living in. It will be a real project, not just conceptual, and you will find a lot of things you don't know that you need to learn. "How do I get the window trim to match what I have?" "How do I model the roof to look like my roof?". And you're right there at your house. You can't physically go to famous buildings every time you want to see an angle that doesn't exist online, but you can just walk around your house if you need more details/photos to reference. This will also give you an idea of what things to photograph at a professional job site to accurately model a building, say for an addition or renovation work.
Before ,I just watched tutorials but didn't practice what I learned .So practicing Revit is a good way to remember what we learn rather than just watching tutorials everyday. Thank you so much for giving us this advice>
Its the first time I watch you in youtube and I really thank you very much for your useful video and advices.i'm so happy that i have found you and i hope I can use your points and your teaches to get better my works.
Nice job ! and thank you. Just staring to learn Revit 2019 - Found your tutorials helpful and enjoyable. Looking forward to learning. Keep up the good work.
Excellent advice. DIVE IN! For me, I look at Revit as a Lego sandbox, where I can design, shape, cut, etc, any piece that I want or need. I just start by telling Revit I need a piece of x dimensions made of concrete, and boom, you have a slab. The other great point that was made was about not getting "tunnel vision" when problem solving. I have gone to a video to solve one issue, but learned so many other tips that I hadn't even thought about. When those issues came up, I already know how to solve them.
Yes today, i just overview phasing, project browser and design option in revits. Well That was totally a fun and like a motivation for me as a student. I love Revit as BIM tool.
I find that I need to learn new things or I am asked a question about how to do something. From that I spend 10-15 min googling the topic, find some resources, create a folder ie How to xxxx save the shortcuts to this locations. Maybe creating a video and document if it can be catered towards internal workflows. Then share that information. I also use an excel list, with all questions and warning I receive, I then document it in there along with any other information. I find that reduces the overall time I spend re visiting topics I have learned before. It is like a database of the most common questions that anybody can search. Or at least that is the idea
Liked and Subscribed! I like your approach to teaching, it nurtures my method of learning new software. I'll be spending a lot of time watching your videos, THANK YOU!
@@soroor_T Depends on the level of involvement, practice, Like in a full time job with it I could say 6 months, even less (on your own). It's very useful if you can find someone that has done that road previously, like a coworker, that can save you so much time. Find a good balance with everyday responsibilities.

Thanks so much for the advice
Thanks Sir, for sharing these great tips
Always the BEST
My learning process has been the same and I agree completely (I do give more value to the note taking to understand the logic of the program)
That's indeed a basic thing to master Revit, you just need to understand how it works in its core, basically how Revit wants you to draft/model.
Hi.How long does it take to master revit?
@@soroor_T Depends on the level of involvement, practice,
