Honestly in all my 44 years ,I have never found a band that has made me feel the way you guys do! I don't know how you do it, but every time you release a track, I listen and fall in love again. Same!!! Many of the 80s bands who made songs like that are gone now...
I would HIGHLY recommend seeing them live. I bought tickets in mid 2021 for a concert in April 2022 and had to wait a long time for the concert. I knew all their songs and thought I knew what to expect. But nothing could have prepared me for how incredible they were live. From the first note until the last. I was completely blown away. They sounded much more like a real rock band. And the saxophone player! Oh my god.

Im in tears listening to this. How is it you can have this effect? This track and many more; Comet, Last Train, Jason, Light Years, Heart Worth Breaking. When Im down and really want to just give up The Midnight in all honesty takes me back to a time when I saw the world with hope and excitement. Like a child filled with energy and wonder. Not the grim despair I so often feel now as I witness an unjust world ripping itself apart. Inspiration, love, adventure and hope in this mind-blowing music. These tracks make me want to live life and be in love and savour all I have. Each year I travel for an entire month in Asia. When I am at an airport or on a train, at a new hotel or in the morning I play these songs and the sense of adventure and joy is overwhelming. This music truly makes me feel like I'm in my own movie and each day unfolds from these beautiful uplifting tunes. So thank you The Midnight for being the most wonderful soundtrack that makes me want to still keep going.
Tyler is a lyrical genius. Hits all the right places and takes you on such a journey, making you reflective of your own path and who you are as a person. This makes me strive to be a better man. Thank you Tim and Tyler for creating such a piece of beauty.

The Midnight, probably you waont see this, but you guys helped me through the worst part of my life. I listened to your songs constantly after my father passed away two years ago. "Los Angeles" was my go to song whenever I felt heavy and needed sometime to breathe. I would listen to it late at night, all lights off, looking up at the bright moon outside. It gave a magical feeling during such a dark time for me. Thank you so much 💜

This track reminds me of The Years (My favourite The Midnight song).
Its long with an immense build-up. It has that overwhelming drop near the end into a fade away (This fills you with immense emotion during the drop and with the fade away leaves you frozen in the moment, just pondering over life).
I also love it when Tyler Lyle talks about his past or just life in general. He can be so vividly descriptive making it seem that you yourself lived in that moment.
It's really funny because when you listen closely at the 4:48 mark you'll hear a faint melody that follows the "The ye-a-ars" chanting melody from just that song! :D

My goodness, the opening to Golden Gate removes the air from my lungs and gives me goosebumps. I closed my eyes and remembered memories of a child I lost and cried for the first time since he left. This will be my special song for him.

This whole album has been an absolute blast, I recently tested positive for covid and have been stuck at home but it's given me time to catch up on stuff like shows and music and holy crap I actually liked every song in this one! Most of the time I listen to an album from an artist I like I find myself just cherry picking the ones I like but every song in this one has me sold within the first 30 seconds and I find myself jamming out the whole way through! Your music has helped me get through this and gave me much needed motivation I was looking for and helped me stay focused on my current projects while being stuck at home.
My I suggest try listening to some Post Rock as well. I've recently discovered this genre and it's so soothing while doing your work.

I think it’s fair to say that Heroes is going to be a masterpiece. All 5 (6?) singles so far have been absolutely faultless. Just sooooo good. I love this band!

What is crazy is I bet they had to really think hard about what to use as singles. I was VERY surprised that 'Heroes' and 'Souvenir' weren't singles, both equally as great.

I saw The Midnight in the same month that I saw my two favorite bands of all time (The Mars Volta and Porcupine Tree). I shed a few tears at my faves but I fucking wept at the Midnight. Music so good it takes you past goosebumps. Such positive vibes! This is truly some of the best music out now.

I wonder what other things they have brought into this album from the past? It really fits the ending message and composition of Energy Never Dies, It Just Transforms.
