There are a ton of WW2 German militaria on display in museums around Finland. The only clear voice record of Hitler speaking casually was recorded here in Finland, it was a secretly recorded conversation between Hitler and our commander-in-chief C.G.E. Mannerheim.

That is neat seeing the artifacts kept in such good condition. I think war should be taught when we forget history repeats itself. The Mickey Mouse gas masks were a cleaver way to sell the idea of a mask and making it a game to the kids

I was a volunteer docent for a short time at this museum. There are more artifacts stored in the basement than there is room to display. Right across from the small gift shop area is the Native American Alcove honoring those Native Americans that served with distinction. The original painting Heritage of Valor is displayed there. The painting was done by Kelly Haney the artist who created the statue that stands on top of the Capitol Dome. The model for the painting is my wife Major (ret) Vicki Jones who was the 1st female helicopter pilot in the Oklahoma National Guard. She was also honored as the Oklahoma Woman Veteran of the Year and was selected for induction into the Oklahoma Officers Candidate School Hall of fame. It is an amazing museum well worth the visit.

The Reichswald war cemetery is a couple miles south, 7594 commonwealth graves, the largest war cemetery in Germany. Quite a moving experience.

I think it's ironic that both sides in WWII fully expected that the other would use poison gas attacks a lot, they weren't used as much as expected. It's been said that Hitler's experiences in WWI being exposed to poison gases was the sole thing that prevented Germany from using poison gas in many instances. The Nazis had Serin gas, but Hitler banned its use. Very nice video, and very informative about things.

The interesting thing about this US division is that until the rise of Hitler in pre-war Germany, its insignia was a gold ancient Navajo hooked-cross on a red diamond... but when the Third Reich decided that swastikas were 'cool', this division changed its emblem to the Thunderbird on a red diamond instead.

I've seen many exhibits about wars, vehicles, aircraft and a number of other things. What you showed us, is incredible.
I'm not sure if you've been to Kansas City and seen our World War 1 museum. And the Liberty Memorial. Both are connected.
    Both are incredibly interesting.
The tower at the Liberty Memorial is very interesting.
I've been up to the top of it. The views are breathtaking. When you get to the top, by elevator, you will walk up a few steps, than go out side. When you do walk out side, you'll be greeted by a concrete wall. It's about 4 feet 5 inches tall, and about 18" to 2 feet thick. Even if you don't like heights, no problem here. Photography with flash is allowed in most places and of many of the displays. One might check on video lighting. I remember using my 20-40mm zoom a lot. And a 70-200 zoom as well. Lighting inside is dim, but video might work fine, without extra lighting. The figures I gave are for when using
35mm film and/or full frame video. The Arch in St. Louis, Missouri, is another neat attraction. Use the same lenses I mentioned above. Wider angle lenses, other than I listed will work as well. Same for higher magnification telephoto lenses, as well. Whew! Enjoy. And no, I'm not a tour guide, and I live in Kansas. No endorsement is being paid to me.

I like the MG-42 Maschinengewehr (Machine Gun). It was the most-feared machine gun in WWII. U.S. troops nicknamed it; "Hitler's Buzz Saw", because of the distinct sound it made. It had the highest rate of fire than any other machine gun in the world, at that time. The Germans introduced this weapon in 1942, mainly for Eastern Front use, to help defend against the human wave attacks, the Soviets often employed. The U.S. copied the design in to the manufacture of their M-60 machine gun.

True but the swastika was in fact hijacked by Hitler and his henchmen. Look up 'The Order of The Red Swastika' sometime...

The Hitler memorabilia is chilling, surreal. Excellent video. Thank you for presenting most of it without comment.

    I have 1 complaint...
    You didn't show enough! Lol
I was totally interested and was hoping you were going to show more of the WW2 stuff they have there. :(
Great video (except it was too short).
