Praying that the Lord is drawing Jim Carrey to Himself! I too only knew what Christ had done as a savior before I was ready to have Him be Lord over my life.
The problem with these shorts is that they only show a portion of what the person says which can often be misleading. While the things he said here are wonderful to hear, I am still not fully convinced he has truly embraced the cross which involves professing he is a sinner, repenting, and accepting Jesus as the only propitiation for our sins. From what i've researched online, there are no recent interviews where he stated these things. In a 2017 interview, he has also said: “I don’t know if Jesus is real, I don’t know if he lived, I don’t know what he means, but the paintings of Jesus are my desire to convey Christ’s consciousness,” Carrey admitted. “I wanted you to have the feeling when you look in his eyes that he was accepting of who you are. I wanted him to be able to stare at you and heal you from the pain.... You can find every race in the face of Jesus. I think that’s how every race imagines Jesus." He has also stated recently that he does not belong to any specific religious institution. I think he is an admirer of Jesus as an entity but does not yet KNOW Jesus as God and Man. I would be one of the happiest though if he comes to this realization and truly embrace the cross.
I am so saddened by your immediate reaction to his video. That was not a funny moment to me, "a party to be pooped on". Alisa didn't you say at one time that you came from the false prosperity movement and had to learn true theology? We all begin our walk with Christ as babes and then prayerfully we grow under good sound teaching and studying. So, instead of being critical and trying to analyze Jim Carey how about praying for his growth. We need more people that are in the "spotlight" to be believers who will make a stand for Christ.
I just listened to another public figure identifying as a Judeo-Christian today. However, it's clear that what she's really doing is comparing Christianity to other faiths and recognizing it outshines them, objectively. In my opinion, she sounds more like an adopter of cultural Christian values. I pray she recognizes this difference and accepts Jesus as her Lord, as does Jim Carey.
Judgement by someones past is just as slippery a slope as making a mockery of good judgement. If the light came one for Jim Carry and if he speaks God's truth do not judge him unworthy but if his actions are contrary to the truth of God as he speaks them then judge rightly what he is worthy of.
From the Overflow of the heart the mouth speaks, he tells us to open the gate of forgiveness, he tells us to look at the Christ, he tells us not to walk in the gate of resentment which leads to vengeance, which leads to harm of oneself and others, and still you criticise him, instead of blessing him and being glad that he says these things, give it up, give credit where credits due, if you can't recognise the god in his heart or the god in his life, then what do you really see.
From what I heard so far Jim Carrey has entered the ballpark of seeking something higher and more profound than fame and fortune but , he wasn't getting near Homeplate yet . I'm hoping and praying he reaches salvation through Christ but , he's definitely not said anything that gets near there .
This video is gross. How is it at all beneficial or inline with scripture to securitize and doubt someone's faith as if you've arrived and they haven't? If you understand even the most basic foundations of following Christ you would know that you will be judged how you judge, and that judgement is God's alone.
As such a time as this _ many are ready to come home_ lead them home _ dont make fun 😊 fun of baby christians_ I pray for you so Jesus can bring u into understandings _ peace to u.
Gee whizz guys, Jim is on a journey like the rest of us. If people quoted me withing the two year before I converted, they could make all sort of wrong assumptions. Maybe Jim is a babe in Christ, like all of us have been that follow Jesus.
Maybe seeds are there though? I'm m sure there is confusion to sift through, but even if the seeds are very, very small, that's hopeful isn't it? He needs guidance into the whole truth. Maybe we shouldn't laugh. Let's hope and pray for his salvation.
He's seeking, it would seem. But he doesn't speak about how he needed salvation because he is a sinner and needs Christ to wash away his sin. He needs to receive Christ's forgiveness and he needs to repent. Jesus's blood is the only thing that wash away our sins. Only Christ can save us from ourselves and from hell itself. May God have mercy upon Jim Carrey and may he repent from his sins and believe and trust in Christ.
The first time I saw Carrey's video excerpt, New Age alarm bells went off. Carrey doesn't talk about the salvation and Christ's work on the cross, but rather suffering and forgiveness - universal themes in counseling offices, progressive churches and songs by Don Henley. Suffering ("penance") is a Catholic thing, a counterfeit to repentance and Jesus sacrifice on the cross. I will be praying that Carrey reads the four gospels and understands them in depth, becomes born again, baptized. Henley, too.
If you listen to what Jim Carey says, if anyone knows anything about the esoteric teachings of the occult and New Age, he is not speaking of the Christ Jesus of the Bible. We are saved by grace through faith IN CHRIST and what He did but also who He is Yahweh, God incarnate
Now i do agree with you, we shouldn't be obsessed about celebrities and what they do or say. But on the other side, that doesn't mean that this is meaningless. If This man is on the road to the Lord Jesus, that is a thing to be excited about! Not because of who he is, but because that means one more person will be saved from eternity of suffering. The Angels celebrate when one little lamb is brought back to the flock. So we should care about all peoples salvation, and pray for everyone who is lost to find their Shepherd. Just like we where lost, but now are found ❤
I think the reason people talk about Celebs who speak out about Jesus etc, is not because of an obsession about them. It’s because they have this HUGE platform that can influence a lot of people. But I understand what you mean.
Suffering doesn't lead to salvation. Jesus is the way to the Father. But, possibly, Jim Carrey isn't getting carried away, and is genuinely searching for the True Jesus, which He will find, because God told us that if you seek then you will find. The fact that people would hear a person say Christian name stuff and assume that the person saying them is saved, just goes to show how silly people can be. This is why there are so many folk who have bit the lure of "God foreordaining and decreeing all things before the foundation of the world(providence)". I'm hoping the Elisa Childers is on a path to discover the real revelation of the Bible, instead of a hyper controlling god
Why attempt to confine something so vast and significant? Jim, in his preaching, emphasized Christ as the solution for all of us. Whether Jim himself believes or not is a personal matter, but his words hold great importance for anyone seeking understanding. Remember: Give to God what belongs to God, and to the world what belongs to the world. In doing so, you come alive, and that life is found in Jesus.
Jim's comment was very thoughtful and did make sense. Yet, it was broad and general. Salvation is close and personal. A person must be able to testify of a time and place where they repented (confessed and forsook) their personal sin and placed their faith and trust in the shed blood of Jesus Christ for the remission of those sins. So, based on the clip, I couldn't determine Jim as a saved, genuine Christian.
That was a very misleading message he gave. It comes across to me to be saying that everyone in the world who is suffering will go to Heaven if they just give grace instead of seeking revenge. Nothing to do with sin, nothing to do with what Christ suffered FOR, worse than an outright message against Christ. This message will make many comfortable in their morality of forgiveness and going to Heaven with exclusion to the gospel. Serious red flags here.
The things that he says that were "outlandish " and appeared like crazy talk are his understandings of life without God. He was telling people about nihilism and how everything is meaningless. Essentially, it really looks like he became aware of how meaningless our world is without God. Him talking about Jesus in this manner reinforces my suspicion.
Yes, 100%. Im amazed how naive many christians are as soon as they hear "jesus, cross and salvation". I seen many interviews with Jim talking about Jesus, but i have still to hear something that makes me belive he is a true christian in the sense the bible tells us. Its all very nice lingo but fully lacking dogma. Very new age in its essense in that its not Jesus that is his saviour, but he is his own savior by entering "Jesus consciousness" etc. May sound nice but its totally unbiblical. So, lets not be fooled so easily. The biggest challanges within the first church was not the persecutions, but the false teachings. And its been the scourge if christianity from the earliest days.
I pray Jim Carrey will come to know the truth. I genuinely want him to be saved. There is just one fundamental truth we all need to know: it is only the blood and merit of Jesus Christ that can save us. We cannot earn it. We can definitely look at Christ's example of forgiveness and grace on the cross as we grow in sanctification, but it is foundational that we know that it is only the sacrifice of Jesus that saves us. He is the only Lamb of God who can take away the sins of the world. He is the fulfillment of the Old Testament Messianic prophecies. Isaiah 53 is one of the clearest examples of this. I know personally that I cannot trust in myself at all for my salvation. I'm a wretch apart from Jesus. I need Jesus and only Jesus to save me from sin, death, and hell. I can trust in nothing else to make me whole. There is no other way. 💛
You have n o idea of what the scripture is saying! Everything you just said is blindness! Jesus is a metaphor of Gods salvation IN YOU! Not a literal historical person! You do not get anything stated in the bible 😔
Correct, he was not talking about the biblical perspective, he was walking completely around the work done by Jesus which no other person on earth could have.done The story of the Bible, old and new testaments is to that point ...his (Jim's) message was that we all should follow his (Jesus) example as an enlightening life style, all new age rehash.
@@50acrewood Jim understands ! It is you who is deceived! You believe in a literal man who lived 2000 years ago in an allegory ( fable) and he knows it’s a spiritual story 🤙🏻
It would take a much longer conversation to know the truth. You would think Albert Pike was talking about Christ in his book, but he was not. He was so deep in new age thinking I would be very surprised if he is a holy spirit filled Christian.
That’s an old video and so unless he worked on his salvation. He’s mixed up in this video.! Philippians two 12-13 work out your salvation with fear and trembling for it’s God, who Works in you to act & Will according to his purpose !
Somehow I can't see Jim Carey genuinely humbling himself and accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. I really hope I'm wrong. His words sounded like he may have been exposed to the gospel, but he stopped short of publicly making a statement of faith in Jesus Christ. In the last 15 yrs. or so, Hollywood actors and actresses gave a lot of lip service to God while accepting their golden idol statues at award shows, but that practice fizzled out. Obviously, those nice sounding words made these actors/actresses sound spiritual, but that was about as far as it went in most cases. I'm wondering if this is Jim Carey's spiritual moment in the spot light. Again, I really hope I'm wrong. My (young) daughter once said during an award show years ago that the actor/actress who had accepted an award was a Christian because they thanked God. I told her that they can say anything they want, but the true test of their Christianity is in their actions, not just their words. Matthew 7:20
This is sad honestly. What a sad thing to say that we couldn’t see so and so humbling themselves to accept Christ. That is placing a major doubt on the God of this universe and the power of His spirit. God can change Jim Carey’s heart! I pray he is genuinely changed. But it’s not our place to doubt or place judgement on whether or not someone would humble themselves to come to Christ. We were all dead in our sin & pride at one point. May we grant him the same grace that our Lord and Savior has granted us 🙏🏼💖 He may or may not be truly convinced of the truth, he may have some ties in the new age. We will see! But God can even use those things and I pray Jim genuinely seeks Christ. 💖
I just didn't see any pure, heartfelt joy from the Holy Spirit reflected in Jim Carey during the interview. Yes. Time will reveal the truth. @@thecalixtos6744

Jim started out truly insightful as a free-thinker, but gradually over the years has swallowed more and more of the indoctrination of the religions. It's sad to see a brilliant mind surrender to so much crap.
Celebrity conversions to Christ is one thing, but to listen to a famous unlearned convert offer up their personal perceptions of Biblical theology and the Word of God via wobbly religious concepts is another thing. At this point Jim Carrey might become a wonderful witness of Christ to the world. But he could just as well be nothing more than a crusader of New Age Christianity who 'feels' Jesus rather than relying on scripture being revealed to him. Almost everything Mr. Carrey said in the interview was either grossly amiss of the Word of God or simply invented in his mind. I suppose the entire 1,200 pages of scripture pretty much states that the road to salvation is exactly opposite of what Mr. Carrey thinks it is. God bless him in his walk of faith.
Jim carrey is trying to produce his own forgiveness......the way he talks about forgiveness shows that he thinks its something you do, rather than something that HAPPENS to you.
No offense Alisa but who made you the divine judge? You and this man here judge the doctrine of someone so harshly while being quick to accuse someone you have absolutely no idea of (no he didn't confess Romans 10: 9-10 on that 3 minute snippet) you know nothing on a personal or intimate level of Jim Carrey being in the "new age". Have you had personal conversations with Mr. Carrey? Seems like you are judging his salvation based on a 3 minute excerpt, and a video from 4 years ago. Why? Poop on the party your guest says and you laugh like that? If he truely is saved every angel is rejoicing in heaven, how dare you laugh. What annoys me is Christians like you weaponizing their theology to a point of arrogance. Yes the new age is real and its alarming, but dont be so quick to remove a spec from someones eye when you have an accusing beam in yours. I'd be repenting right now especially at that gross laugh you and your guess displayed when you have no idea if the Holy Spirit is calling him. God knows, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ knows, not you. This isn't the first time you did stuff like this Alisa.
Be careful that you don't fall into the Enemy's trap of judging others. I SAY THIS WITH LOVE AND HOPE FOR THE FUTURE; to be judged for my heart, not human judgments. Please be more open here 🙏 Not to the point of ridiculousness, but weighing evidence. He has placed his career in jeopardy, by the things "that just didn't feel right." I've often been the victim of criticism by others, who may have harbored hypocrisy in their own souls and certainly demonstrated it in their own actions, especially in these times when all Believers should be counseling together rather than castigating others. Remember, the upbraiding and severe rebukes from Jesus given the scribes and Pharisees, calling them hypocrites and vipers because they were guilty of greater sins. We can't do that, only Jesus can, being the Perfect Judge, WE ARE NOT! As for us we are admonished to look upon others to. make righteous judgments, (John 7:24). The warnings and teachings of Jesus regarding judgment and hypocrisy were not specifically directed at the Sadducees or the Sanhedrin in the same context as the Sermon on the Mount. (Matt 7:1); however, Jesus did confront religious leaders, including Pharisees and scribes, on multiple occasions regarding their hypocrisy and self-righteousness. In Matthew 23:13-36, Jesus delivers a scathing rebuke to the scribes and Pharisees, denouncing them for their hypocrisy, pride, and legalism. He warns them about their judgmental attitudes and actions, highlighting their failure to practice genuine righteousness and their oppressive behavior toward others. While this passage is not directed at the Sadducees or the Sanhedrin specifically, it reflects Jesus' general stance against hypocrisy and wrongful judgment among religious leaders of his time. We should take those warnings and apply scripture to ourselves.

Gee whizz guys, Jim is on a journey like the rest of us. If people quoted me withing the two year before I converted, they could make all sort of wrong assumptions. Maybe Jim is a babe in Christ, like all of us have been that follow Jesus.
Amen to that! Even if he is new in his faith he's a whole lot more eloquent and influential for Christ than I am!
Good thing is that if Jim knows the gospel then one day it will be personal for him. My prayer is that the seed gets watered.
Thanks guys
If you listen to what Jim Carey says, if anyone knows anything about the esoteric teachings of the occult and New Age, he is not speaking of the Christ Jesus of the Bible. We are saved by grace through faith IN CHRIST and what He did but also who He is Yahweh, God incarnate
We must stop being obsessed with celebrities. It’s crazy.
She is like Martha, always off topic and worried about meaningless things.
Just like we where lost, but now are found ❤
Just remember these celebrities are also people with souls Christ died for. Someone needs to care for their salvation.
UNLESS YOU MAKE JESUS LORD, AND SAVIOR OF YOUR LIFE, YOU CAN'T GET SAVED
We should be praying for him likewise for other celebrities too!
Yes! I was hoping for one of them to say this plainly.
Faith is a journey that takes a lifetime to live
Spot on….praying ✝️💟🇨🇦
Read your Bible. Pray.
Who cares what celebrities believe?
God is leading this man.... no one has the right to judge his journey....
Jesus is not a man apart from you! You are asleep
Couldn’t agree more. This is a far more deceptive message than the outright “atheist”
Yes! Thank you Jesus! Lost Sheep Found! We are all in a Christian journey he is on the right path. Jesus is coming soon 👑💚😇
That's a very Jordan Peterson-esque take on a Biblical concept. It's very elegant. It's true on a general level. But it's not "personalizing" it.
@@thecalixtos6744if you say new age you do not know God or scripture! You are b.c.. before Christ! 👍🏻 it is not some dude in the past! It’s eternal truth explained in allegory ( gal4.24) The old age killed everyone believing the letter, ( literal interpretation ).. that is carnally minded !!! You do not know anything if spirit proclaiming a man on a cross!! That is symbology! You are dead in your ignorance you religious pharassiee! You have no truth in you
God is not an icon! God is a spirit...and if Jim is really searching for Jesus & God....God is really near to you Jim.... God is everywhere! He is right there Jim! Jim....all you have to do is....call on God right where you are!!!! Come as you are....Jim! He's been waiting for you since you were born!
Nice:) important distinctions!
Jim doesn’t realize the Gospel at all.
SOME BODY HAS TO GIVE HIM THE TRUE.
spot on.
God bless him in his walk of faith.
what jim said here does not mean he is a christ belivier now, i am a 100% atheist and i agree with jim.
Jim Carey is an actor I pray that he's a christian but I doubt it
Maybe you should invite him on your show.
We can pray for him. He said some really weird stuff on Norm McDonald about Christ.
I have seen the enemy and it is us once again
HE is not a toy you pull down fome heaven the LORD is personal and sacred.
Thank you I was thinking this same thing.
Be careful that you don't fall into the Enemy's trap of judging others. I SAY THIS WITH LOVE AND HOPE FOR THE FUTURE; to be judged for my heart, not human judgments.
Please be more open here 🙏
Not to the point of ridiculousness, but weighing evidence. He has placed his career in jeopardy, by the things "that just didn't feel right."
I've often been the victim of criticism by others, who may have harbored hypocrisy in their own souls and certainly demonstrated it in their own actions, especially in these times when all Believers should be counseling together rather than castigating others.
Be careful Jesus can save anyone and he sounded nothing like new age
So sad - laughing --“Hate to poop on the party “- no wonder people turn off to Christians - doubting someone’s salvation but your own- We are all on a journey- some with and to Jesus and salvation- and some not. Many are on the journey towards -
That's a joke bro, Jim is also an Icon and influencer. Did you heard Ms. Alisa? she is hoping but slow to judge/promote because as you have said we all have our own journey.
"a party to be pooped on"
😂. I'm going to steal that.
I just unsubscribed
Why?
This makes me feel so gross. Why judge the way people find meaning in life? Weed your own garden.
What? Huh? Who are these two high flying people? Judging. Relax. No one knows the last day in everyone’s life is like, and you two are so sure. Humble your selves. Wow. Truth your perspective is wrong. Please do share what the key buzz word, update salvation prayer. Even Paul said, don’t judge others professions. Search deeper and look beyond your shallow understanding of what it means to be saved. Salvation is like a thief in the night, you never know what God had done.
'alisa being critical only shows her lack of humility
Alisa please let the man talk, omg
He needs to find a good deliverance ministry.
Fernando perez.
The spirit of fear gets to me.
The new age is truly deceptive because Jesus and the archangels. There's a guy on TH-cam saying that he's archangel uriel
It's why we don't put new Christians into Bible studies.
