I bought this for my friend for his birthday as we just moved into a new house and he finally has room for a workshop. The bench was very easy to set up th-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh They center support is a little difficult to snap in and out of place at first but at least then we know the bench is secure. It was a pleasant surprise when we saw it came with clamps. I apparently missed that in the description. My friend loves the versatility of the bench. Great starter bench for his workshop and easily transportable all over our property. I wish the bench was a little taller but the other features of the bench more than make up for that.

The overhang is something I didn’t do when I made my work bench. I realized later when I was having difficulties clamping things. I recommend the overhang to anyone wanting to build a workbench. Great job!

Agreed I build the overhand as a must have for clamping.

The fact that you did this with minimal tools is great, not everyone out there (myself included) has table saws, mitre saws, planers, jointers etc. great bench for a beginner who just does DIY at home and needs a decent bench in the garage...

Crikey Mate, set your Circ saw blade to the right depth, so you avoid all that tear off you were getting cross cutting the timbers, at the start. Maybe your blade was dull, I don’t know? And reverse the speed square for better results! The way you are holding it can let the saw force it off square, with the force of pushing it as you cut through. I gave it a like, as well done and good videography. Just helpful tips, no offense intended! Cheers Mate!

    • @inspiringbuilds

      I would recommend a workbench height of around 36”. 34” - 36” if you’re shorter.
