1:51 This is not correct: It‘s an EMI-blocking choke, not a one to one transformer: A high frequency blocking choke is made of two coils and a ferrite core where L is going through one coil and N through the other coil. A transformer is also made of two coils, but they have much more windings, an iron core and L and N are both connected to one coil. At the other coil you can get the secondary voltage, which is the same as the input voltage in an one to one transformer.
So simple, easy explained, the most important you showed us how to test the parts with multimeter which most of the people dont even bother. Your video is so grate on so many levels! Gratings from Romania and I just subscribed
I added a nail with the ends cut off that just fitted the opening of the screw and glued it in. I left a little stick out so that it holds the slider in place better. I used a tap to clean up the screw bore and I used white lithium grease to lube the screw with. Works much better now. Great concept.
I am so grateful for this amazing video, I LOVED IT. My sincere congratulations, for the simplicity and clarity with which you explain each step. Today I learned a lot. Thank you one more time. I want to ask two questions and I would appreciate your answer if possible, is a lithium battery charger a switching power supply? The other question is if there are more videos on this topic. Compliments
1. 1:51. This part is not called a transformer. 2. "The capacitors are of because they are not inflated." -> You are totally wrong. Electrolitic capacitor does not neccesarly needs to be "inflated" but still can be damaged/degraded inside.
Thanks, I have a question. I have a solar panel converter and the led isn’t going on. Can you explain how can I do a checkup of the unit and replace defaults component ? Thanks in advance.
Un excelente trabajo y muy bien documentado, toda una satisfacción recuperar esa fuente así, y mejorar la disipación del rectificador, congrats 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hello, I have a question. As a result of connecting a high current fuse to the power supply of the steam machine I use at home, I changed it because the mosfet, zener diode, ntc and 2 watt resistor on the primary floor failed. I can get 12 and 35 volts on both of the outputs, but when I connect the power board to the motherboard, it shows 12v as 2.5 volts and 35v as 16 volts, so the fan and water evaporator are not working. I also changed the capacitors at the outputs of the power board. What other parts on the power board should I check? thanks

Hi, Have a question about SMPS initial Max current an SMPS can support. If I use a 1200W Desktop PC SMPS that has common rail, and I connect all 12v together ..can I use it to power a load that takes 100A ? as soon as it powers on will it be able to support this current ?
Nice job on the diagnostics, and upgrading with better components. Been checking out some of your older content, and this seems much more advanced. Did you get any training in electronics since you started posting on TH-cam? Nice to see your channel grow and evolve

Question. I watched your rewiring of the Bosch alternator. What gauge size magnetic copper wire did you or should you use for for a 150 amp Bosch alternator 14 volts?
Ну так смело лазает пальцами в зоне высоковольтных конденсаторов. Проверить их надо и при необходимости разрядить, иначе можно получить хороший заряд бодрости, если там остался заряд.
Please discharge the large capacitors if you have connected the power supply before touching anything on the other side of the pcb. Better safe than sorry.
I copy a 1000 watt forward converter and build it but i use ee4215 core which i double two together and i use two fgh60n60smd igbt which is rated for 120 amp pulse current and a gate drivers transformer that provide 7 amp peak but 1.5 amp continues current and gate voltage 18volt but i couldn't get 500watt from it even though all components was will over rated i was pulse 10 amp 131vdc but i couldn't get pass 480 watt the igbt blow and the igbt was not hot just warm the gate had protection ziner and subber to protection from volt spikes the gate current was stronge enough for fast charge and pnp for fast discharge everything what right but still blow over and volt at 500watt and the original 1000 watt had a smaller transformer and lower rate igbt but i couldn't 990watt from it even though the circuit i rebuild have far more better components can you explain why the more efficient parts can give 1000 watt. Ut lower rates can i even use the same transformer and i get lesser then 300watt and when i test the gate speed my circuit speed was faster keeping the igbt cool but the commercials one was very warm at zero load i dont understand my circuit was had biggest track for current flow and better gate driver

you do not need or want thermal compound when you have silicone insulator pads, that makes heat transfer worse. and paralleling fuses? No. get the right fuse.

Great video. I was able to fix mine exactly as you did (replaced power transistors and rectifiers). My first electronic repair :-)

Hi thank u for your nice video,
how did you make this series controlling lamp at the begining you have used it?
Please more video like this. I learn a lot from it
Never in any electrical engineering class I have heart two 4A fuse in parallel will make one 8A fuse.
you don't need electrical engineering to figure this out, just grade 10 science would do!
Excellent Video, very well explained, keep up the good work
Thanks 😊
Thank you, more of this please, really helpful

excellent Job. Was bale to follow everything on that repair.
Nice work brother! I love your contents 👏👏👏
Fantastic job. You could improve your pcb stand with a rotary design in order you could rotate the pcb without removing it from the stand.
Thanks for the tips!
And what type of soldering iron did you use?

Could you give me advice . I have 24v Power source like you have in video. It gives 24v without load. But under load it gives only 3.6v.
One 650kOhm resistor was down from 230v side. I try to find If there is more broken parts.

Does an 8 amp fuse make sense? I'd use a 5 amp if powering from US 120 vac and a 3 amp if powering it with 220vac. 8 amps @ 220 is 1920 watts!

You can not make an 8A fuse from putting two 4A fuses parallel . Theory is one thing, in practice it will not work properly.
👌👌👌👌
can you provide me the circuit diagram
the meter never settles on a reading and you jump to another conclusion
.stop and let the meter settle down on a reading
before zipping jumping skipping away.
480watts @ even 200Vac = 3A @80% efficiency
Since it was made to run on both 110v and 220v..
at 80% efficiency with 8A fuse, the lowest possible voltage will be 75Vac..
Conclusion:
This much supply deviation is only seen in china..
this was probably made in china
Helo bro can you send me shemat this power 24v 14.6 A
If you want 24v 14.6A in watts then 350.4W
👍
Why not just check the fuse with multimeter for continuity? Rather than using the bulb
Hes doing this to Check If the current thats going Through the fuse is to high because of shorts
@adsyndrome Correct answer . Good 👍
Good video. But power supplies are inexpensive throw-aways.
Video is OK but explanations are week because of Fast speed.
2 fuses in parallel is not 8 ampers
Yes it should be in series
@mdasim6986 Are you serious?
Fuses in series are rated to the lowest fuse, they ARE NOT additive.
you do not need or want thermal compound when you have silicone insulator pads, that makes heat transfer worse. and paralleling fuses? No. get the right fuse.
What caused this problem?
It was faulty from the beginning, even when i bought the 3d printer. This is from a 3d printer FLSUN V400
The resistor that was shorted why wasn't it replaced
The resistor was OK the fault was also across the same point in the circuit, at least that's what I believe having not seen the schematic.
Correct.
😀😀😀
that's the ugliest soldering I've ever seen, but decent job
