- Explains what is meant by specific and non-specific binding and how they are measured in a radioligand binding assay. The method is used in assessing how well a #drug binds to its #target.

Thank you for sharing this!
Very helpful, thank you!
This was of great help. Thank you 😭😭
This was amazing! Thank you!
This is very helpful .Thank you so much .
So helpful! Saved me :)
Thank you very much for this presentation. May I know what kind of program you used to prepare these slides, they are amazing!
Thank you

huge help! thank you
Thank you professor.. You have a lovely voice..
Thank you very much....
Thank you!
helpful!! thank you
Very helpful indeed
Thank you ❤ a question please, is there any chance of a receptor that has stronger affinity with the ligand than the receptor of interest? Or we only do this technique when we are sure that the receptor of interest has the strongest affinity with the ligand (sorry for my poor English it's not my first language 😅)
What i meant is that, do we use this technique when we already know that the ligand is specific to the receptor of interest so our objective is just measuring the affinity? Because i thought that this method is to prove that a new found/ new synthesized ligand is specific to a receptor or not? Sorry i don't know how to articulate my thoughts
I think you are asking about selectivity for different receptors, rather than specificity of binding. Binding assays only measure affinity with the receptor under study. To investigate selectivity for a receptor, you would repeat the assay with other receptors to measure the drug’s affinity there.
@@professorGpharmthank you so much for the response, ❤so just to be sure i got it, we do binding assays after proving the selectivity right?
Useful. Thank you
Thank you!! :)
thanks a lot
