Angela Monaghan I did some research on this because I have the same problem. It looks like Verizon removed that setting from their lg phones for some reason.

I came by your answer 3 years later and saw all the different answers people suggested... Android really dropped the ball on OS 7.0-8.0. I remember this feature being extremely difficult to find for about a year, and then poof, it came back. Now If you changed your settings to "list view" rather than tab view then, there is no option that says "smart settings". You can find it by searching or checking out the "looking for somethings else" area (in "Connected Devices" for example. There is also a back way to get into it too. Settings->Lock screen security->secure lock settings->smart lock. Here it will give you 3 ways to have your phone smart unlock enabled. Hope this helps someone.

If the option isn't appearing within apps directly try heading to the 'Display' section of the LG G6's settings menu and look for the 'App scaling' option under 'Appearance'. From here you can tap on the specific application you want to alter scaling for. Hope that helps.

@@tjswan9935 with its stupid edge display that affects the touch with one hand. Also weak battery, also stupid finger print location lol. Sure it stomps. I had AMOLED. The colours fade over time. I rather not. Peace
