The automatic espresso machine is the perfect device to make an easy coffee, espresso or Americano in seconds. Despite it's ease to use, there is still a few cleaning steps you need to do after periods of time. The machine will automatically indicate when you need to descale it. I suggest using the Philips descaler with the Philips machine.

Remove your water filter,first
Thank you. It helped me solve the problem ❤
Thanks a lot! I have lost the manual years ago so I was clueless about how to descale. Now I know.🙂
Manuals can always be downloaded from manufactorers webpage
REMOVE YOUR WATERFILTER
First cup, you set the coffee size to 3 of 3. The 2nd cup you set to 2 of 3. Of course, it's "less watery." There is literally less water added 😂
But that aside good clear instructions on how to descale
im sure plain old vinaeger works too instead of them expensive bottles, with plastic
Official videos also says you should open the side lid, take out the entire grinder block, and clean that also.
How often do you do that, they recommend weekly. Sounds like alot of work for this machine
Great video, I just cleaned mine. Thank you!
Thanks it helped a lot
Thank you so much for showing us😊
Thank you for your teaching, it helped me solve the problem❤
Thanks for this. The directions say to take out the filter before you do this, might want to mention that in your video, otherwise it just filters out the descaling liquid.
Great point. I will pin that as a comment
I missed this and kept filter in . Suggest you edit the beginning of this video.
Helpful, thanks
How do you clean out the small compartment where you put the grounded coffee in? Please help.
The water doesn’t come out from the coffee pipe only in the steamer pipe. I think it has to come out from the coffee pipe
I have the same problem!! Please let me know if you find a solution!
Hey i had the same problem!
The solution for me was:
fill the water tank with water, flip the filter upside down under the water . If the filter floats upwards, we know the problem: the filter is filled with air, and the water is not flowing correctly. Hold the filter under the water until it stays on the bottom (so we know the air is gone from inside)
Put the filter back on its place and try to make a coffee.
For me this worked and now i can use it properly.
If this doesn’t help i guess you need a new filter or run a cleaning program with some cleaning tablets.
I hope it will work for u guys 🤞
Do you need to remove also the coffee beans before to proceed with everything?
Thanks for showing. Is this it helped us avoid reading the confusing instruction book
hard to tell coffee looks different, we'll have to trust your taste buds
It's a big difference
thank you so much how can you turn off blue light?...
Doesn't taste like watery coffee no more after you reduced the water content ...lol....Great comparison....not
I have the same system I find that in the bottom of my drip pan I find lots of grains and water/coffee and my cup of Coffee isn’t that much any ideas what I should do?
Thanks for this
Thank you!!!
So basically you wasted 1/2 of the solution! 😂 Thank you for showing me that I only need to put half in half water!
Thank you.
thanks for watching :)
why doesn't the aqua clean light go off when i'm done😊
Longpress it, then play
You can also use vinegar and only fill half of the water container
Vinegar is not suited best for these machine. It can break the rubber seals
@@xSyberproxvery interesting. I never knew vinegar was bad for rubber seals. Thanks for the heads up 👍🏼
What about the water filter…
Can i use philips coffee oil remover tablet instead?
I imagine you could yup
My milk frotter stop working.Steam is going thru everywhere, but milk doesnt come. What to do?
Buy a new frother. Had to replace mine twice already as first one started messing up and second one fell and broke during addition of milk. Its how they get you to keep paying them. Filters, descaler (isnt anything except water) and new milk frothers. Next we will be buying coffee beans directly from phillips/saeco because it will be the only bean useable inside this machine.
Weird it looks exactly the same as your first cup. I think the descaler is just water and a placebo affect. Used some hot water in place of the descaler and cleaned it out exacly the same. Making my mind think that it was cleaned out. My recommendation is dont use faucet water for your coffee, buy a gallon of filtered water and use that instead and refill as necessary at your water filling station. I have a few gallons around and just fill them up when I fill up my 5 gallon drinking ones. Coffee tasted light years better with filtered water instead of faucet.
Maybe looked the same, but the taste is as day and noght
I jsut ran a calc clean for the first time. i got 99.99999999999999999999999% of the water coming out of the frother / hot water tube. i got nothing but dribbles out of the main spout.
the machine would do gadzzzz... gadzzzz. gadzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz with water flowing out of the hot water spout fort about 10 seconds.
Then it woudl do Gdzzzz... gaddzzzz... and a dribble or a few drops of water would come out the main spout.
This would repeat over and over till the water was empty. The rinsing cycle also dispensed ***NOTHING*** what so ever out of the main spout.
❤
do you not use an aqau filter?
I quit using them because of the cost. I just put clean water in every time I use it.
Talky
lol
