  • In today’s project, we’re using the Ford F550 with Fassi F50 knuckle boom crane to load up some Log Lift firewood bags for a local BBQ food truck delivery. We’ll fill the bags using customer made racks. Load them on the truck with the knuckle boom. Strap them down. Drive them through some pretty country. And finally unload the firewood at the BBQ food truck that’s setup at a local century farm full of family friendly attractions.

    Hello from the Netherlands .
    maybe have a magnetic plate made with your company logo and info on it. I know it's not your own truck hence the magnetic plate.
    Are you going to deliver by truck or work, stick them magnetically on the doors and pull them off again when you're done.
    store them neatly and cleanly for next time and you can use them for years .
    thanks for the video Fox .
    Sincerely Hollandduck

    I’ve said it before but I really like this option for doing bag deliveries. Maybe be some day this will be an option. Would a 12 ft or 14 ft bed enable you to load 6 bags on the truck to maximize loads being delivered?

    • @FoxfireProjects
      @FoxfireProjects  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Bigger bed would be nice. I think 6 bags is all I would want to carry on the 550 platform though. We are hoping to order a new truck spec'd this way in the near future. Will post an update. Thanks for watching!

      Appreciate the kind words. We've thought about fabricating some steps, but the fold down doors on the storage boxes actually work really well on the sides, and the trailer hitch on the rear. Hate to open the can of worms if "it ain't broke" 🙂 Thanks so much for watching!

      @@FoxfireProjects NNZ logbags are not available here. I use a black wood bag from another manufacturer. The dealer explained that the durability is 4 years for outdoor use. But I can't buy many of them. I'm making a stackable firewood rack with scrap iron.

    How long have your bags lasted? I had them but I believe a different company, they only lasted me one season. They started to dry rot and rip. Now I use ibc totes for all my wood storage. Takes up more storage space when empty but I love them.

    • @FoxfireProjects
      @FoxfireProjects  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We started out using the "Dino" brand bags with red straps, and had the same luck as you. Dry rotted and tore pretty quickly. We soon tried the Log Lift bags, and haven't looked back. We've got bags around the woodyard that have done a dozen deliveries over several years, and still going strong. Can't say enough good things about them. Appreciate you watching!

    • @FoxfireProjects

      Both sides are crossed. Sometimes the lift loops that we run the straps through are higher up on the wood bag, so the"x" is up out of view. Thanks for watching!

      We used regular pickup trucks. Had a 70s dodge 250 and a 90s dodge 350. Simple wood racks on the sides, stacked 6 rows in them to equal a full cord. We still have a 90s model chevy we use for some deliveries. Appreciate you watching!
