Great video. Very informative. Would just like to ask if you think the sanctuary would be manageable for a 72 yo who uses a cane? Is there only 1 way to the area (crossing the small wooden bridge over a stream)? Thanks!
Hello. Thanks for watching and for your comments. Visitors are required to walk a lot during their visits. This includes across narrow wooden bridges, along narrow paddy field paths and up a steep hill. Unfortunately, I’d say it was unsuitable for the person you described. There are other ethical elephant sanctuaries in Thailand worth considering, including Elephant Nature Park which is fairly nearby. The parks listed at www.worldanimalprotection.org/latest/blogs/thailand-elephants/ are wildly considered to be the most ethical in Thailand.
