I got the c200 and the camera wasn‘t able to propery show clog2, just clog3. Then I bought a C300mkiii and the internal Lut doesn‘t match with the official Canon Luts - isn‘t there any Clog2 to Rec709 LUT which gives me the same Image which I see in Camera with the LUT on…
Hey, i saw on some C70 forums that people HDMI are being friend on the C70. Have you had any issues powering it with V mount? I just rigged mine up and when I am done filming, I turn the camera off and just take the V mount battery off. Are there certain precautions I should take?
i have a couple r6 mark ii at work. I cant even use an external monitor with a rec 709 lut bc it looks so bad. its all purple and pink and weird looking. I dont know why clog3 is so weird. Ive downloaded luts from about 10 different youtubers and created my own and it never seems to work correctly.
I wanted to buy your C200 to ARRI Lut but it said the store is closed for checkout. how do I buy. "Checkout is closedThis store isn't set up to take orders."
I have just learned that XC10 4K footage (a promoted b-cam for C200 by you) has the almost the same quality as C100II HD footage. 350Mbps versus 35Mbps. No DR inprovement. Can you proove that Canon has an efficient codec and does worth the money? Thanks!
It took a while to learn to grade Canon footage. I did a short video out of my used C200 RAW and this is what it came out with. Still learning just started practicing videography. th-cam.com/video/NNYEX85rbtY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sFGPwldvd74CefIl
I am going to tell you why Canon’s footage looks so bad out of camera…it’s not Panasonic! Lol I literally have been telling Canon users just how little control they have over their images for YEARS, a DECADE. The price goes up and I hardly ever can tell a difference from the raw footage. Their codecs are just build for post processing I guess 🤷🏾♀️ But I have always questioned the fix in post methodology that has to be taken involuntarily.
Panasonic gives the most image control out of all the cameras, prosumer and professional level. Outside of DJI and Arri I don’t see any other manufacturers making the types of adjustments that really warrants the pricing.
You've changed things... forever!!!!!!!
Thank you so much, from seattle!!!
once again extremely helpful, straightforward and interesting. Thanks again!
hey what about c80 softness compare to c200? there is any whey to get the same sharpness as c200?
This was helpful! Thank you. 😁
I'm so glad!
Hi! A-Cam shot looks gorgeous here. What lens were you using on the C70?
Still think it would be great for you to do a color correction in FCP X tutorial series.
Agreed
Does your luts work on the C200. so its a file I would load into it via file?
for those of us that have no clue what you're talking about, do you have a video showing "set gray"? Is this a setting in the camera?
How do you import luts into the camera?
❤ Awesome advice Ribidium! Love the C70 course so far too!
Thanks Dave! Leave a link to your work when you're up and running with it. I'd love to see what you're shooting.
excellent. to the point. does this basically apply to all cinema/cameras are or some cameras just apply lut and you are good to go?

Load whatever LUT you like into the camera as a 'look' and use the same one in post. Then it will match.
Hi. Does you master class include premier pro or only davinci resolve?
Also is bt 709 considered a lut by itself?

It’s on Canonmasterclass.com
Do you have in-person workshops?
I just got my C70. =)
One day soon I hope! But right now just the Canon Masterclass content.
Hi Rubidium, I'm new to canon cinema line, but when you say expose the middle gray at 3200, you mean ISO? As I know the middle grey range is 0-100.
Canon's white paper puts middle grey at 32 IRE. If I said 3200 I misspoke :)
@@Crimsonengine Rubidium, thank u so much. After this tutorial I used 30 to 40 IRE and is much better to grade a skintone. Much more cinematic. Thnks.
@@Crimsonengine Not sure where you’ve pulled this info, but C-Log 2 is 39 IRE, and C-Log 3 is 34 IRE
I actually think the canon straight out skin tone looks better
Me too... lol

love this niceeeee
Hi Rubidium, thanks for this video. Very interesting ;-) Does a LUT exist which goes from CLOG3 to 709 and not WideDR)? Thanks!

Sold all my crappy panasonic cameras. Very digital looking files. I hated them
@@Makta972 Which models are you referring to?
I disagree with the premise of this video
I thought the answer was going to be "Buy a Sony." 🤓
Sony's no better. Both need work to escape the 'flat video' look
Yucks... that toy lol
