@@jj56x7.5mmmapimps has loads of experience, still is fast and strong cant ask for better wing, look the try we got that Stormer wing was useless if any he never shot up with the rest of the defence, just stood there.
Am is one of the most talented 13s in world, although his knee seems to have slowed him down a little, he's still very good, look at his performance last few games.
As for ox, look at some of those scrum penalties again, i saw in one of them the 7 didnt even put his shoulder in for some weird reason, look closely. But alas anyone can have a bad game or two, he's a world cup hero give him some slack Dude.

@@mow3186 stormers numbers are skewed because we had to play several games at Danie Craven stadium which is very small and far out from cape town

Always an eagerly anticipated encounter when Hollywood Bets and Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn play each other. The 2 names just evoke an incredible sense of South African sporting heritage.

I’d love to know if the Saffers are enjoying playing in the URC as opposed to when they played in Super Rugby?
I wish for once my team, Leinster, would send a team down south fully-loaded with our best players. It would be interesting to see what kind of local crowd that would attract out to see a game.
URC is better than Super Rugby not because the crusaders holds the most titles but the traveling sucked and the time zones sucked. You would be watching matches 7am in the morning or 9pm at night and our players would be jetlegged. Also our teams travel more than those NZ and Ausies so yeah URC is better our time zones with European teams is 2hours apart
Yip, loving URC as it grows on us. Not missing SR with its gruelling long travel disadvantage for SA teams, & enjoying the general hearty welcome up North - makes a nice change. And in return we might be fierce supporters on home ground but the red carpet is always rolled out because ye're all very welcome always!
I think we're enjoying it. Miss a bit of the flair we used to see from the New Zealand and Australian sides but am impressed by the well coached sides from the north. 👍
I will always miss the old school SuperRugby, even if it was tough on the SA teams with travel, there was a golden age of SR that really has a place in my heart above any other club competition in rugby. URC still doesn't really mean much to me yet. Maybe over time that will change, but it hasn't really got me excited or nervous going in to matches...almost feels like preseason for me where you would like to win, but the results don't feel that important...whereas in SR in the 2000's/2010's I was captivated and wanted to win every match like it was life and death! Also maybe I'm a bit jaded by the overall standard of officiating in the URC in the first few seasons, even last night the ref was awful (for both sides mind you, but the Sharks paid the heavier cost in the end unfortunately). But I think perhaps that is a problem in general that rugby is facing at the moment.

It was either for bringing the maul down illegally so close to the try line (not sure why the ref didn't just award a penalty try immediately though, the ref really had a shocker), or for repeated infringement in the red zone, if I recall there were at least 3 penalty advantages against the Stormers in just a few minutes.
Francois Venter beaten twice on defense, 2 and 6 found wanting. Luckily the Sharks tightened up the bolts during the game.
It's time to start admitting that Am is but a shadow of his former self.
You couldn't have said it better. I guess good money, fame and good life is does not always balance well with an athlete... the guy has gained a lot of weight
Is it just me or is it a bit ridiculous that TMO overturned the Stormers try based on a lineout technicality. It was not a try/no try call from the ref, but rather the TMO jumping in on his own after the try was awarded. I thought that was just meant for foul play.
Strange seeing South Africans feeling try shouldn’t have been disallowed for an infringement in the lineout….you all agreed about NZL being disallowed a try for an infringement that was 4 phases before try
Personally, I want the right calls to be made. I'm not too bothered if the TMO intervenes as long as it does not disrupt the flow of the game. That was an outright infringement that other refs would've seen. However, those 50/50 calls that the TMO overturns are ridiculous, such as Deon's try last week against the bulls.
When I watched this live, I saw a knock on in the phase before the sharks scored their try at 3:12 was I the only one that noticed this or could I have been wrong?
