    We don't have the "acur" cucumbers here In the USA, but, I have seen them in many other Middle Eastern videos. This looks amazing! Just the kind of pickles I like with the ingredients you've chosen. I'll have to try it. 😊

    Pickles in Bharat (India) range from simple to elaborate. They're a good source of probiotics & prebiotic too. The older the pickle, more the medicinal value of it. Many dishes made in Turkey are similar to the ones in our Country. I love your channel and love to learn new recipes. I make them vegetarian.

    • @diliuzun

      in Turkish we call spice 'baharat' because mostly they come from India. India has many delicious dishes, i'll try to find recipe for Indian style pickles, love from Turkiye :)

    • @tejusane1
      @tejusane1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@diliuzun oh wow !! That's nice to know. U know Turkish culture so much close the culture of Bharat. I have watched Turkish serials and they have many things that are similar to how we do it here like the nazar bonjuk, saying thu thu to away bad omen or throwing water after some leaves home etc and a lot more. I understand these rituals come from the older Pagan culture of Turkiye. Btw Dokuz is supposed to a divine number in Bharatiya culture. I too call my father Baba 💕 . So many similar words & expressions. Add to that the Arabic and Persian words. But even without those influences there's a whole lot in common. If I had to say, "Look at me" in my language (Marathi), I will say "Mala Bagh" which is uncannily similar to Bana Bak. Phonetically almost the same pronunciation !!! And many other expressions. I can go on... 😄😄

    • @diliuzun
      @diliuzun 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tejusane1 dokuz is also divine number in Turkic myths.dok/doğ means birth, nature, fill. thank you for sharing. although i know because paganism (or different origins) lot of cultures have these similarities. but still hearing them exciting for me. we also watch Indian serials, Aamir Khan has a big fan base here. wedding gowns also simliar even though today brides wear different colors, red bridal kaftan is the original one, i believe it's same in Bharat. i think we can count them until all hours but they'll never end :D

    ???? Oh the lemon salt! This is what i bought at little Turkish Market down street from my home....it was so acidic had to be careful sucking on it like a candy...my Turkish friend Sylvie teased me and told me it was used to clean carpet. This is first time i see in 50years! Maybe i can buy in big middle eastern market in PHOENIX/TEMPE, ARIZONA. I think they will sell this. PLEASE LET ME KNOW BECAUSE I DONT REMEMBER THE WORD, WHAT IS NAME FOR THE SMALL FAMILY OWN STORE IN RESIDENTIAL AREA WHERE PEOPLE LIVE?? If you can tell me, i will remember.. I also must have eaten thousands of pistachio nut while i read my books, over all the years we lived there. There were no TV stations in Ankara until 1st one in 1968. We of couse had our TV we brought from America. We could not use at first & this is why as a girl, i read so many books. My father was good friend with man who started 1st TV station, Mustafa Genc. We invited avout 15-18 people from our building to watch tv 1st night, including our kapajee. Two elderly people left our home because they were afraid of the little tiny people inside the TV box. They had hard time to understand. My father &mother had our living room with rows of chairs so it looked like small movie theater, and Mom made American buttered popcorn served with Pepsi-Cola!! It was a wonderful evening i will never forget. First the bew TV station showed 5 MickeyMouse cartoons, then a news program, and then a short movie.
