I read the title and thought you guys were making a gas powered mechanical one wheel. I was slightly disappointed by just making a generator but it makes sense. You guys should try to make a mechanical one. Forward and reverse gears with a rotary clutch going to the axle maybe? I wonder if there’s any way to use a level of some sort to activate the forward or reverse gears mechanically. I’m just spitballing ideas, but you guys should definitely think about it. I think a fully gas powered mechanical one wheel would be amazing.
Hey! This 3D printing concept is getting wild! Instead of the usual filament, what if we built objects layer-by-layer from the inside out? Imagine a spinning container where we spray a special resin or even tiny wires, one layer at a time, with a UV light to cure it all in place. We could even have a robotic arm pick and place small components inside as we build! This way, we could create objects with different materials on the inside and outside, or even sneaky compartments hidden within. It's like building a treasure chest layer by layer! This might be a simpler way to get started with this "inside-out 3D printing" idea. What do you think? Could this be a cool new way to make things?
Guys, try to calculate the size and weight and the right voltage for a quadcopter that would lift a person. That is, a large quadcopter with a hybrid powerplant. No one in the world has ever done this before ) It is best that the entire structure weighs less than 114.9 kilograms, then it will not need a pilot's license.
Impressive engineering! Turning a one-wheel into a gas powered device broadens its capabilities and, indeed, the convenience is undeniable. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
It is cool, all the better that it's simple. It really demonstrates the energy density of Gasoline compared to electric batteries. One day something will come along and surpass all of it.
@@hacksmithCan you remove the battery without the board refusing to work after? Can you put a new battery in them now? I hope that's the case, my pint needs an upgrade.
This is exactly how electric vehicles should be. Edison Motors (fellow Canadian for y'all) is doing something awesome with a similar idea of a hybrid, full electric drivetrain.
Now all you need to do is make the gas engine auto stop and start based on battery voltage and it would be a true hybrid. You just built a Prius Hybrid Onewheel.
My reaction when I saw thumbnail and title "this is ridiculous, I need to see it". After watching I am like "wtf, this actually makes some kind of sense"
They stopped using solid fuel in rocket launches since it shifted weight too much and altered their trajectory, but if you could come up with a way to use it on the ground, that could be revolutionary.
Gas is higher energy dense, but take in consideration that a 6cm circonferenze motor can handle 4kw (rc cars and drones motors) while a gas engine, even a rc car one is way bulkier and requires additional setup.
I have an idea, y'all have probably already thought of it, but I think you guys should build Aangs 2nd staff from season 3. Maybe not retractable, but you guys could totally do this.
I feel like you could legitimately sell this as a product for hardcore onewheelers. Heck, if/when i finally get one myself, ill probably come back to this to make this setup.
Fundamentally what you have done is the equivalent of saying you will make a Telsa run on a gas engine, and essentially just tow and engine behind it and plug it in to charge... while it runs.
