    "Understand that the lights in your life is a reflection of other people's darkness in theirs." Man you killed this one. I've been trying to understand the other side for a while..
    Great video man, thank you

    So much worth on this one, I'd definitely rather admire and push myself to better myself than to envy and push others to fail. But I also realize everybody doesn't think this way. This point is so important. I thought I was so great to appear powerful and clever and blablabla. While actually, I was the last fool to try to appear this way and even worse, not realizing the luck I was given and try to minimize it.

    There have been times where I have been HUMBLED and sometimes in AWE by people who were more academically gifted or athletically talented than I will ever be!! I just worked hard and did things to the best of my abilities regardless of the outcome

    A mistake I've made often recently in the last couple years, it's caused my peers to alienate me and I've become a popular topic for conversation. People claim I practice Black Magic and that it's through my dark practices that I've achieved success in life.

    But isn’t this “dimming your own light “ to try and avoid someone’s jealousy? Shouldn’t one shine as bright as possible regardless of other’s envy? Doesn’t it mean you live a small life in order to appease others?

  • @420minerva

    brilliant, as expected! thank you for sharing your mind :) timing is perfect too, bcuz someone tried to call me out on this specific law, yesterday. I'm a hot mess and own it... my relationship with my own power doesn't require that I have my shit together. that's how power works, right? is power synonymous with monetary value? I feel like lots of examples you use focus on the wealthy, rich famous historical examples. I would be forever smitten if you used Lenin and Hitler as examples sometime

    • @AlexanderEmmanual
      @AlexanderEmmanual  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're very welcome Amanda thank you for letting me know. You're going off in a few different directions I want to make sure I understand clearly. You say, "my relationship with my own power doesn't require that I have my shit together". I do not know what having your shit together means to you, but I know that for me, when I see someone who has their shit together, this only strengthens their potential for power.
      "Is power synonymous with monetary value?" That's a really good question. I probably won't do your question justice in a YT comment but I can say it depends. It depends on the type of power your trying to garner. Power and money interrelate in a many ways. But you CAN have one without the other. I know there have been many individuals I've talked about in these laws who have created a powerful reputation yet have done so in the absence of money. On the other hand I know there are many wealthy who do, and do not have power. I think the most important criteria is how you use and display your wealth. That action will influence your power largely.
      I do not know the monetary status of many of the dozens of stories I've talked about. But it's safe to say a large number of them came from little to nothing and worked their way up. I do not know about Vladimir Lenin, he and Hitler are not talked about in the 48 Laws. But if they come up in the last 2 laws, they come up. Thank you for your comment Amanda.

      +Alex Sandalis thank you for your insight! and your time. Hitler is the epitome of Law 48, I'd be happy to walk you through it, it would probably hit home as the worst possible outcome of violating this law. The phrase "certain doom" is not an exaggeration. Hitler and Lenin make Westerners uncomfortable, and it's it's unhealthy. I heard a rumor that those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. is power subjective depending on an individual's idea of what they consider power, or is it specific to leaders and innovators?

    • @AlexanderEmmanual
      @AlexanderEmmanual  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hit me up on facebook and send me a message: facebook.com/alexandersandalis to explain the story and maybe end up talking about it :)"Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it." that statement can either end very badly for someone, or on the other hand, I think ignorance can aid in coming upon success. Sometime's it's to a person's benefit to not know all the stat's and information, as counterintuitive that may sound.
