Thank you 🙏🏻 Maybe. I do use it for some of my animal rescue work and I’m enjoying watching some of the more wholesome cultural exchanges between Americans and Chinese users at the moment 😁👍✌️
Hi Adam, thanks for the video. I just returned from my 10 day trip to Beijing and Tianjin. I must say I love it there. From what I see, the prices at the convenience stores in China is very similar to the prices back in my country, Malaysia. I would think bcos Beijing is a more expensive city. I'm not sure about other cities in China tho.
Thanks again for watching ! 👍 I’m glad you enjoyed your trip. I haven’t been to Beijing for a long time and I hope I’ll have a chance to visit Tianjin in the future. Yeah the bigger cities are a bit more expensive, but there are always ways to buy these items cheaper at supermarkets or online 😁👍 I hope to visit Malaysia in the future too, I can see from the analytics that quite a few people who watch my videos are in Malaysia.
Yeah, I think so too. Supermarkets are way cheaper. Since I was on vacation, I didn't mind paying a bit extra, haha. Same here, I usually hit the supermarket instead of convenience stores back home. You should totally visit Malaysia! I can show you around and introduce you to all the amazing food 😁
Thanks for showing the products in the stores close up, It's fascinating to see what is in Chinese grocery stores. I shop at our local Asian markets here in Arizona and love all the different products imported in.
You’re welcome, glad you found it interesting. I also used to like exploring Asian and Chinese food store when I lived in the Uk. Now when I go home the normal British supermarkets are exciting to explore as I’m not used to those products 😂
Very interesting video Adam. I think the convenience stores are quite expensive compared to the supermarkets, especially for international branded products. Of course Chinese brands are still comparatively cheap. Overall prices seem cheaper than the UK. Thanks for sharing. Your videos are always so informative. ❤
Adam, I got curious when I saw your thumbnail image. I got a little disappointed that you didn’t get beaten black and blue when I finished watching the video 😂 This could really happen in the Chicago area, where I live.
haha, Yeah, I maybe went a little extreme on the thumbnail! I somehow survived the convenience stores! That must be scary! I'd love to visit Chicago though.
I have been to China and several other countries in Asia, and tipping is not the norm in Asia. In some Asian countries, they may accept you giving more, but most will refuse or even be offended.
Given the current low average salary in China, the purchasing power can't hardly compared to Japan and Korea, unless you are a high salary(like 4K USD/month) expat living in China would be heaven
Fine groceries, many of them made of plastic. Plastic eggs, artificial meat, Diguoyou (cooking oil harvested from sewage, no kidding), Methanol tainted alcoholic drinks etc. Did I forget the excellent milk products enriched with fertilizers? Yeah, food safety in China is well known. Keep eating my friends!
lol plastic groceries and eggs ? You want me to eat your friends? are you mad ? I've lived here many years and had no problems with the food safety, people here eat pretty healthily and I've found the food standards of the products I eat to be good. Which country are you from ?
@ this channel posts clearly anti-China videos one after the other. You should get your information from a variety of sources with differing views, audiences and political intentions, I’m sure there is some truth to some things but they exaggerate many things.
Your amazing liffestyle videos suit Xiaohongshu i think !? 🙂❤✌

Taobao is the price search engine in China
Beijing has some astonishing expensive grocery stores catering to the higher income class
How do the prices of these items compare to your local store ?

yea even in my superstore in canada all of those items would be 5$ or more and im not exaggerating
Wow, crazy prices !
Do you have to tip the delivery driver?
No, you don’t.

真是笑死 人民币的相对购买力不如日韩? 继续在井里好好待着吧 用英文留留你的BS 骗骗那些只能看懂英文又不愿意点翻译按键的外国人
But living cost in Japan and South Korea is far above living cost in China.
虽然我们在日韩生活过.不过我感觉你还是可以来中国生活一下.
物价在中国也有很大差距.
购买力系数也会同时跟着改变.保持基础恒定差距不大.
而且物产的丰富度没日韩可比的.
