- I love the TXR series, so sad it ended up really bad :X. Hopefully It'll come back someday as a fully fledge title for PC/Console.

Be realistic much of the things you want would lead to a mediocre game with a ton of flaws because they would be pulling towards too many directions.
The game doesn't need to have both Drift and Speedway. There are separate games for a reason. Having both would ruining the let both half baked. You focus on one or the other. Not both.
The number of cars and selection was perfect and accurate to the time,era and setting. Europeans and Americans cars are really rare at Japan so adding "More cards" would ruining the identify and aura created on the game.
Competitive online would be nice since that already exist under a different name. The Wangan Midnight arcades.
Coop is plain a dumb idea.

The customization while it was fine for the time it does need to be modernize and expanded for better creative expression of the players visuals of their cars. I'm 50/50 on the idea because the customization people wants don't make your car faster is the opposite. Make them slower, clumsy and add weight which would go against the philosophy of the game, but also making cars "Extreme,GT like" would kill the vibe of the game since those kinds of modifications ARE NOT street legal in Japan. The immersion would be ruined.
The handling 100% need to be improved. Make the cars at lot less slidy. Stopping them from feeling like easy skating

I really wish they would remake Tokyo extreme racer. I feel like it would be even more successful nowadays than it was back then. The scene is no longer considered underground like it was.

In all honesty I think the best thing Genki can do is remaster Zero. Zero didn't have copyright cars, so they don't have to worry about licensing, plus it had plenty of road to race on, lots of rivals, and some of the most recognizable versions of the most famous rivals. Just remaster it, put it on Steam or maybe even consoles for like $15 - $20, and there you go.
(Keep in mind I have absolutely no idea how hard it is to remaster a game.)

I still have TXR Zero and TXR3 in my room along with my PS2. Just booted them back up, and wow was it so much fun!
Finally, after 18 years of waiting, Genki officially announced a new & proper Shutokou Battle/Tokyo Xtreme Racer game for PC/Steam that will be released in 2025!

Man I'd kill for a new TXR game. TXR3 was my favorite. I still have them all including the Drift games and ITC. I just REALLLLLY want a new one and a new Redline Legal Street Racer.

At that time the pp filter was called RTXRealism, but I've moved on since then 😁. I forgot about the other settings

How do you get racing AI along with the traffic?, seems like it works on the whole track as well rather than only the C1 Outer time attack version of SRP.
In the AI installation tutorial, you supposed to put the slow/normal/faster AI folder (with ai_hints.ini) right? I skipped that part, so most fast cars will just go ham on the street. The cons part is that I can't put too many traffic cars here or it will be messy af
