Cool Video! I've always liked Slotcars & Trains running together too!

Awesome layout design, my brother and I had a rail crossing track, the train always ran fine through it, but the slot cars would always catch on the gaps in the rail. And as kids we didn't know how to fix such problems.. but I always liked this idea. Always thought it was cool. I'm setting up an area to build a new HO train layout with a track beside it. But probably won't put in a crossing.. but your idea of building one is not out of the realm of doing it..

Go for it you'll be glad you did. I had a Lionel oval around my childhood layout, no rail crossing.

Thats Pretty cool those railroad crossing tracks .... Pretty sharp Kenton ... and yes scale looks fairly close as you said ... Killjoys ... funny lol ... yeah right Tjets the closest scale wise ... Very Interesting and also a lot of work to get it right I imagine , Kenton what size are the Trains O gauge ?? ... Guess you will paint the other mountain at some point ... see Ya Nice video

O gauge is 1/48, probably the best for 1/43 scale layouts. G gauge is 1/25, might be the best for 1/32 scale if you want the train bigger than the cars. I have seen some guys use O gauge with 1/32 scale layouts.

I used to have the Matchbox slot cars from the 1980s - these looked great on the model railroad - sadly I gave them all away

In crafting my current HO 1/87 & 1/64 diorama, I did use old slot car track as my road with hand crafted railroad crossings. Mine is not a running slot track, just used it because I thought it looked a lot better than many of the road solutions typical to a HO layout. So, I'm all in favor of this blending of hobbies and scales, I do it myself.
