I did get an answer about tied cards. Tied numbers played after an earlier bid on the same card are considered losing bids, so the 8 of tomes you would bump to the next card in the block.

Thank you for the solo playthrough. Really enjoyed and helped me a lot on how to play it. I have been craving some new solo experience lately that could rival "For Northwood!". Bought it on a whim the other day because of Thunderworks brand. So glad I did! The scoring goals and warden actions overwhelmed my comprehension in the beginning, but it felt very rewarding when I finally pull off a win against the AI.

My personal logic assumes that if it is not a winning bid, it's an underbid (re your tied AI scenario @ 15min). Official rulings pending ofc
