Fine if you’ve got plenty of other uses - but that’s basically twice the price of the software. Process icons cover 90-95% of what I do, so I’ll stick with that.
Hey Sascha, I now got a Live S and I'm happy to report that your Mac profile works on that device, albeit with a bit of tweaking. I can't wait for the Windows version as it's where I do the processing. It looks a but more tedious to create a profile on Windows than on Mac from what I gather. Thank you for the hard work and for sharing.
I'd been considering getting a Loupedeck for a while to use with Photoshop, never even thinking it would work for Pixinsight, too. This convinced me to get one! Thanks for the discount code, too!
My Loupedeck arrived yesterday and I've been getting familiar with the controls. I installed your plugin for Pixinsight, but when I click on the buttons to do most of the actions (such as NoiseXterminator, SCNR, etc) nothing happens. Do I have to set up keyboard shortcuts for those actions to work?
Hi Sacha, I have a Loupedeck and have set it up on my Mac but when I press a button nothing is happening and an "*** Error: Command not found: m" in pixinisght. any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Yes, I have an idea: You did not read the instructions of the profile ;-) You need to make the change in the Mac Settings for it to work as described: Go to System Settings -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Keyboard -> Move focus to Menu bar Change the shortcut from ^F2 to Alt-Cmd-0
There is a bug presently in the Loupebox Windows macro software which prevents me from doing the same trick I used on the Mac side. Loupebox knows about it and promised me to fix it asap. When fixed I will create a similar profile for Windows. So you just need to wait a bit for that....
@@viewintospace thanks for coming back so soon. thats a real shame as i use PX mostly on my windows machine. hopefully they fix the issues relatively quickly. Many thanks for the support and the vids
I have now recieved my Loupedeck. The way I was adding shortcuts to a process or script was obviously wrong. Can you tell me how you added these items to the loupedeck?
If you have a Mac, just go to the marketplace in the Loupedeck editor and download there the PixInsight profile. If you have Windows please wait a few days and the profile will also be available from there.
@@ianward9463 Strange - I just tested it and it seems to work.... Perhaps try it with another browser.... If it still does not work, very soon the profile should also be available from the Loupedeck Marketplace
@@viewintospaceI received my CT yesterday. I am using a Mac. When I tap the buttons on the unit it doesn’t open anything in PI. Is there a way to fix this?
You have less buttons to assign processes to. Also my dedicated PixInsight templates only work with the CT version. But besides that you can surely use with PixInsight

@@viewintospace Hi Sascha. what is the Windows issue? I know its not elegant but many processes seem that they can be driven via the Process Explorer (CTRL-ALT-P > DELAY 500ms > TAB > TAB > name of process > ENTER > ENTER. Is there another way? Cheers!
@@markfletcher6472 I have tried this in the Windows version of Pixinsight and it dosn't seem to work, just opens Process Explorer. Actually it did work just an error on my part.
I also use Final Cut Pro and was looking at this but it’s a tough swallow at $600 don’t know how much time it saves vs just learning hot keys. It’s cool and if it were $1-200 u would do it but I could use that money for other things at this point. The pixel math formula portion is probably the most beneficial for me because the coldest nights formulas are super long. 😊
This is indeed very cool. Just need to figure out if I want to spend 500 dollars. One aspect that is perhaps very significant and exciting is as an aid for people living with disabilities. I already work on the Windows version of the profile. And there will also be an extensive follow up video where I show how I did the config so that it is easy to change.

Hi Sascha,
Great introduction video!
Does the commands in Loupedeck rely on entering the absolute positions of the mouse for each command?
Happy you like it! No, it is all cursor movement.
Thanks.
Would your profile work on any of the other models? Like the live S ?
And I’m guessing it’s Mac only because it relies on AppleScript…
