KHAO LAK, Thailand and Breathtaking SAMET NANGSHE Viewpoint. Join our family trip to Khao Lak, Thailand and breathtaking Samet Nangshe viepoint! Along with our daughter Nikki, and her boyfriend Bruno, we flew from Chiang Mai to Phuket for several days of touring Southern Thailand. After arriving in Phuket, we rented a car and first drove 45 minutes NE of Phuket to take in the incredible morning views from Samet Nangshe...one of the best photo opportunities in Thailand, and definitely worth the drive! Next, we drove another 1.5 hours NW to one of our favorite beaches, Khao Lak, and stayed at the lovely Apsara Beachfront Resort and Villa for 2 nights. Khao Lak has some gorgeous beaches and is a favorite surfing spot...especially around Memories Beach. About 5-10 mins. But hold on…it’s a pretty steep hill!
