pat is a definite legendary singer who deserves all the recognition , period , one of the best voices !

I have loved Pat since that first album, but you hear her live and realize how incredible this band was as well.

Myron Grombacher is maybe the most underrated drummer of the 80’s. I love watching him perform, he’s incredible.

You couldn’t turn on the radio in the early 80’s without hearing Pat Benatar. Good memories…and nice to see this US Festival set. I went to US 83, missed out on 82.
I was always jealous that my brother got to the 82 US Festival. He never missed a great concert.

Pat's voice weaved a mystical spell in the 80s and still does today. No star flies as high as she does. I will always be captivated by her vocal skills. Absolutely no one can compare to her. Definitely deserves to be in the rock hall of fame.

Actually I respect bands that aren't in that hall of fame. If you get nominated, you should refuse it. Most of the people that run it, and vote in it, are anti- rock, neo-liberal, millennial, dweeb, teeny-boppers.

I was lucky to attend the small club warmup for this gig Sept 1, 1982 at the Country Club in Reseda, CA The band was working on most of these songs crafting the set list performed at the US Festival. Great band. Pat Benatar is a compact powerhouse, force of nature.

Saw them on tour around this time and they put on a helleva show. No giant video screens, no elaborate light show just great down and dirty ROCK & ROLL!

She's a badass, but seems very sweet and genuine. As a guitar player, I have never thought of Neil as anything other than an equal partner.

She definitely sees him that way. I never have. Always felt like he was trying to hard to grab spotlight from her all too frequently. I heard it's the main reason she wasn't in the ROH sooner - she wanted him to be included with her.
@@pandapeep1148hat's the ROH? I don't think he ever tried to steal the spotlight from her - she's always at center stage and literally in the spotlight, not Neil. He wrote all of the songs with her, he lead the band and played kick-ass guitar, all in service of her and her career, so he totally deserved whatever fraction of the spotlight he got.
That was one wild weekend (as was the second one the following year).
I'm just glad these videos are here because, tbh, I've forgotten a lot of what happened other than the fact that I know I had a great time while it was happening.
Band was as strong as her voice! Crimes of Passion album is one of the best top to bottom.

Great concert! My teenage years' rock'n'roll queen, well... what am I saying...? rock'n'roll goddess! I just learned a year ago or so that she was from Irish ascendancy and then I understood why I've always found her absolutely gorgeous... :) And such a f***ing powerful voice!! Go Pat, never die!

Thank you for putting this up! Pat Benatar is my favorite rock vocalist. Not just female vocalist, but my favorite vocalist, period! She sings with so much passion ,conviction , and technical precision. Powerful stage presence and the lyrics are thoughtful, vivid, and powerful as well . ❤

As long as I have a memory I will never forget my time at the US Festival. So many great memories. I also saw Pat play at the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood CA.

Fire and Ice was over the top perfect! Powerhouse vocals.
What an amazing vocal talent she was. She still sounds good but obviously no one has the same range as they age.
That impossible high note during the bridge of "Promises In The Dark" will forever be epic.

Holy Hell! Fire and Ice!!!! Worth the admission price all on it's own! What a Voice! And Neil's solo on Precious Time is one of the most undervalued guitar solos in history and he absolutely nails it here, live (and so much more). The mix was crap at the beginning, but man did they get that figured out in hurry!!
