This makes me laugh because a front desk clerk who used to work at the hotel I work at was exactly this way. A guest warned me about her not washing her hands and told me not to shake her hand. She ended up quitting after having a massive freakout and arguing with another coworker at the front desk in front of guests because a wedding party came in and she couldn't handle checking in so many people at once.
@DisneyWigglesFan#100 In these chain/franchise hotels, you can get away with unprofessional behavior. Same thing in Starbucks, McDonald's, and all the other large operations. In construction, it's all independent, so they can fire you at will, especially if it's not unionized.
I found this very entertaining and I could immediately the mistakes that were shown on this clip. I think its absolutely brilliant. must do more like this

lol to the people watching this that don't work in the hotel industry, I promise there's far more good than bad emoloyees! I work front desk at s hotel and love the people and do the best work I possibly can!
Emanuel Martinez yup. its what you need to do. its also good to let the person know the number indirectly. such as showing it written down on the packet
I have to deal with a lot of older guest so I kinda get asked to be louder when saying where there room is. Is this a good reason or does anyone have a tip cause my main stayers are hard at hearing?
You shouldn't be saying room numbers out loud to protect guest's privacy, and it's not secure in case someone else is listening. The room number can be shown from the key wallet, or you could escort the guests to their room if you can :)

some of this is exagerated. His uniform was not dirty. They say his uniform was not properly tranported or maintained? Um how the hell is he supposed to bring it to work? He didn't wash his hands before work (he shouldn't have to unless he is a food prep or his hands were muddy). He didn't wash them after using the bathroom (says who? And lots of people don't). He went through the guest entrance (shouldn't matter, especially if he is running late). He had his headphones in (he was off duty). He ignored the customer (he didn't see her. if he did, he wouldn't have ignored her). Sloppy appearance? That's a little confusing. Bad posture? he was leaning back in a chair. That's ridiculous. Plus he was bored. Lol. Guest parking? Well that's true, but maybe he couldn't find a employee parking space. Guy committed a crime? What crime?
My English teacher actually show me this and it's literally funny. But I guess this mean a thing: Professionalism is important in anything, especially if you're working in the Tourism and Hospitality field .

I'm surprised they didn't count his hitting/damaging the sign as an unprofessional action.
I remember watching this at TAFE as part of a customer service unit.
Yes, always ignore HR, good tip.
MrEggcake lolllzzz i do the same
😄Y'all two are mischievious.

@DisneyWigglesFan#100 Henry Richardson
there is no a second opportunity for a first impression.
You are suppose to say your room number is on your key packet. you will take a left and the elevator is midway down the hall.
Wow, the keys out with no matching ID to the room is something I drill into my trainees to never do.
All of these types of errors actually do happen in hotels on a daily basis.
This amazing video teaching to br professional front office in hotel because you are working will be ontime for ur job
In construction, if you're late, they'll say "that's okay, you can go home."

Working in the hospitality industry is not a job it's a lifestyle; passion and genuine interest are vital components for success.

People do stuff like this all the time but yet they still have there jobs and the people who can do the job properly wont get hired for no reason
You forgot about him hitting the sign that says guest or visitor parking only

I wanna start a hotel called Cruelty Inn, where all the staff go out of their way to make th guests miserable. It would be a great business venture'

I work at a hotel and my coworkers do one of these errors at least once a day. They will say you are in room 123 so damn loud.
Jessica Ahibo I tell them either they are on the first or second floor and either take a right/left and the room will be on the left/right.
Emanuel Martinez yup. its what you need to do. its also good to let the person know the number indirectly. such as showing it written down on the packet
Gabzo Avro Oh of course of course! I've been working at a Days Inn & Suites since Dec 16 and it has its ups and downs but I always do my best

Thank you Syed Hakkim! We're glad you enjoyed this video.

Do you have any more vids or material to do with hotel and tourism, complaints, training etc?
Will Handley Do you know any more videos like this? or about tourism?
Yes, you don't want a potential creep to overhear what room they're in.
Very good teaching skills
I thought that was Dane Cook @ 6:21
how can i download this video? pls
Ohhhh! The gum on the locker is a great idea!
Would I be an jerk if I just sorta dropped this link in our FD email box? 😇 (Absolutely loved it!)
Sadly, in the real world you would get fired for far far less than what was presented here...
that a poaaible chance unless that hotel really need him and give him a pdp crap thingy
Unless your property is a union property in the states..

I'm guessing that changing into his work clothes once he gets there is supposed to be one of the "sins" but I don't see a problem with that at all...
Sandra Fowler its not. although the ipod sin i dont get. if he went through the employee entrance then itd be fine imo

I thought he did his job very well.
Why is he dressed a little like Dwight Schrute
this is painful to watch.
hated the bit where the guy attempts to stick the chewing gum to the lockers.
this IS funny, but it is also very tragic, because people like this really ARE in our business???
I couldn't spot any problems.... oh yeah.... the guy who robbed the rooms forgot to turn his key cards back in...
never met like that Employee in My Country.
It,s all about the Culture Society.
He would have been SO fired if it was my hotel.... oh my gosh!!!
He would've been fired in any hotel 😂
HI
He didn't spit, fart, or use country kleenex
Wow this kind of job wouldn't be good for me since I can't tolerate people or care much about anything or anyone
If you're going to make these things, try and make them so a 7 year old won't be offended.
i think he is not serious to work
문제점이 무엇인가요?
Never say room numbers out loud!!!
i hate the employee entrance!!
I don't think anyone will be like in this video in real life lol
The wrinkled clothes happens. I personally think it's unprofessional to show up to work out of uniform.
Sarisa T. you believe it or not. that sometimes happens in real life but the actions are more sophisticated!
You'd like to think so, but I fired someone like this.
I have a coworker who acts like this where I work....And no one calls them out on it.

No offense but this agent should be fired. He did lots of things you definitely shouldn’t do. Definitely violated security protocols.

Like a boss... =))
I've seen much worse in the hotels I frequent!
He's either gotta have a night audit or addict background. Ha Ha.
standing on the front desk backwards to the guest!
making the guest wait without even proper apology!
