They called me the "One Footed Wonder" lol. I could go forever with the inside of my right foot. This was back in 8th grade. I'm 35 now idk if I still got it now. Next time I get paid I'm thinking il get back into it.
Thank you for this video! I still struggle with rotation in hips and knee but hackysack is improving that! I'm great with a partner but I suck solo. Gonna keep at this thing.
Dude you make it look easy!! Do you recommend using an old school hacky sack official footbag from the old days or not? I can't inside kick for shit. My legs just won't bend inward at all lol. I mean this is hard. Good upload! Thanks!
Thanks! A lot of the older hacky sacks are very firm and very full, and while these are still fun to kick around, they are really hard to learn with. When I'm teaching kids I'll usually use softer sand filled bags. These are not as durable and won't last as long, but much easier to keep control and learn with. Keep practicing and even stretching if you need to, it gets easier!
I just started learning last week. I have 2 types of footbag: 8 panel Dirtbag and a 16 panel Sir Hemp Sand Lord. I have noticed 8 panel bags are extremely hard to keep up compared with 16, but 8 panel has better control as softer and doesn't bounce/roll so much. Is it best for a newbie to start with an 8 or 16 panel? I am just practising basic kicks/hack every day.
It's hard to say what number of panels are superior, as often it's down to personal preference. The construction of the bag and what/how much it's filled is going to be more important to the control you get. Often I recommend 8 panel bags as a starting point for new players because they are generally cheaper. I used all sorts of different types of bags when starting out. Go with whatever works best for you.
@@ReDRockeT111 I see there are plastic, sand, metal and mixture filled bags. Is there one that's better or is it personal choice? Also is there one filling that is more suited to newbs?
Oh ok I'd never seen a bag like it and figured I was a dragonfly bag. pple keep saying sandmaster is a good beginner bag but I used to play when I was younger ( im 20) and I'm relearning but the only thing I honestly think they're good for is stalling! On another note around How much would you charge for a bag.
The bag used is a custom made show bag. To be honest its not the best bag to begin learning with, I just use it for videos because its big and easy to see. If you want a good one that I recommend and sell for beginners, send me an email - redrocket111@gmail.com - and I will sort one out for you.
Learning the skills in this video? It's hard to remember actually as it was a long time ago. I would guess 2-3months to have gotten consistent. But everyone is going to learn at different rates.
This is the first good hackey sack tutorial I've come across.
Nice
Heheha
Thanks for the tutorial! I just made 113 foot bags for a school. I'm linking your tutorial so the kids can learn the skills.
Rhonda Rajaofera you should cut it the part where he says red rocket

The part about the toe kick where you said about lifting your knee slightly but also flicking your foot really helped me get it
Thats great, glad it helped!
Thank you, I haven't played in years so I'm having to re-learn.
Working on this during the quarantine
Thanks so much for this video. I just bought my first ever footbag and I'm looking forward to learning

This is one of the best tutorials on youtube!
So you alive?
Fun, fun, fun. Looks like great therapy for rebuilding knee cartilage.
Is footbagging with barefeet fine ?
Yes, but its generally more difficult as correct footwear provides flat surfaces to hit/catch the bag with.
Phil Morrison Ok, thanks! :D
i dont like doing it in shoes i think its esaier with bare feet but every one has thier own opinoin just put on your socks and do it
i just bought a footbag and it's superfun with buddies but a bit hard :D
Another kiwi? Cheers for the vid dude. Learning hacky during quarantine.
Yep, kiwi. You're welcome. Good use of your quarantine time.

thanks alot !!!! super simple great video
When i toe kick the bag just flies across the room. HALP.
Andrew Gray same here
Same
I try to curl my toes back and it stops the ball from flinging
Kick by kinda jumping into it. Not by extending your knees.
Have you tried just lifting you foot instead of kicking?
its like flappy bird frustration levels
What is better learning to kick the footbag in different ways at the same time or one by one?
Learn a variety. It's more fun that way too.
That's really cool.

This was very helpful
Do you need special shoes to do an outside kick because everytime I kick it outside it just seems to be going out and not up?
Are you alive?

What bag is that? I have a sand master and doing toe kicks and knee hits with it is impossible

Awesome! Thanks!
When I hit the hacky sack with my knee it barely bounces back up at all.
you have to put more force to it
You can't exactly just flick the ball with one finger and expect it to move a meter.
Translate that into your kick.
this has been doing this for months probaly
Thank you.
Great video, thxz
Your shirt looks like the old school forever alone trollface
Lol I didn't realize.
