@pkj2148 I've never heard anyone say he could beat Madara with the ten tails.😂😂 But now that you say that, I feel like with enough help from other people if he could get a mark on or near he could possibly have an extremely slim chance at getting the final hit in to finish him off. That being said, he would need a lot of help from some of the other strongest characters in the series up to the war arc. The other characters would need to be able to hit, damage, and keep him distracted long enough that he can't regenerate in time before Minato lands the final blow. It would be way harder for him to do it than Naruto or Sasuke for sure but it would still be a team effort like how it actually went down just a change in rolls if who is the main fighter and who is supporting them. The chances of him actually being able to pull it off and land the final hit on Madara, though, are almost nonexistent.

Minato just isn't fast enough for Juubidara to not be able to react to him, plus Juubidara can regenerate.

Most of the people who call him overrated is due solely by the changes made by kishi throughout the series. During part 1, minato was set up to be the goat of goats. Everyone put him on a pedestal bc he was so great/powerful. Keep in mind, before the retcon of orochimaru's edu being weakened, sarutobi actually felt confident facing 1st/2nd hokages but nearly crapped himself at the thought of facing 4th (why a retcon? Bc its inplied that they were at their prime power based on 3rds and anbus comments). However, as the series progressed, more powers were given to the uchihas and therefore given to hashi. Minato suffered from "being shown in his prime too early in the series before power levels were established".
I kinda disagree with the last statement. Yeah he died knowing he ensured the balance between the villages by keeping the nine tails sealed within a jinchuriki but he also died with the knowledge of Toni/Madara who would he knew would be a threat in the future. Him telling Naruto about “madara” when he does put the 5 nations in a more difficult situation as they were baited into all out war.
I don't think he's overrated but I'm 100% sure, if Minato wouldn't have been mostly a flashback character, his teleportation jutstu would've gotten tons of restrictions. Like, it's true that the mark never dissapears but I'm 100% sure Minato wouldn't have been able to eat lunch, take out 100 of shinobis from DIFFERENT villages that he marked and then finishes his meal. Minato is not overrated, he's a non Uchiha, non Senju and non special clan ninja, and he stood heads and shoulders above many in the world, legit being a guy you ran away from if you ever encountered him or heard he was nearby. If anything he was nerfed, as everything eventually became about special clans and lineages.
I think Minato is the coolest character in Naruto. Damn I so wish they had done a separate manga prequel on Minato and Kushina's class with Jairaya and other supporting characters. Would have been a lot better than crap show that Boruto is.

He only fought 50 shinobis which was left in the 1000 shinobis deployed by the enemy village🤞🏻 He was not great at sage mode because he can't absorb large pool of nature energy despite being perfect sage 🤞🏻... Jirayas imperfect sage mode is superior to Minatos perfect sage 🤞🏻... He was very good with jutsus and was a natural talent... And also he was super smart like boruto 🤞🏻... But some people mistake it for being smartest .... Orochimaru, Itachi, Tobirama etc are way more smarter than him🤞🏻.. Minato one shot manga made a debate where kurama compared him with hashirama.... Even if that's cannon everyone who watched Naruto can easily say that minato is miles away in becoming an equal to hashirama 🤞🏻 These are some of the reasons why he was overrated.... The main reason are watching Naruto through reels and the one shot manga 🤞🏻... Reality is he was a legendary shinobi who does need the attention he deserved... It's not that Minato is overrated... it's that some fans believe Minato is a 1-2 trick pony. When fans hype Minato, they're actually hyping his FTG. With that tech, he can "solo" anything which is funny to me. Fans then talk about his other abilities to boost the argument.
You know what is terrifying about him is his marking.
He marked Tobi on the night of 9 tails attack and Tobi was still marked 17 years later during the ninja war.
Think about that and what that means.
1. The Mark lasted even after his death
2. Nobody detected it.
Minato could meet the 4 Kages mark them and pull a John Wick on them in one night and even if they are in the middle of their villages with everyone on high alert
People say you see him and you run away. They forget to tell people "and pray he is to busy to remember hunting you down for the rest of your life"

I ll tell you why, it's his fan base that makes him overrated. But in reality he is genuinely the greatest prodigy ever to exist in Konoha, he accomplished so much without being from a famous clan, no fancy dojutsu, Hashirama cells, Otsutsuki DNA, curse mark, karma or tailed beasts 💯
He would be really the strongest if he didn't die, If he had not died and had Yang Kurama with him, he could have reached barion status, he could have surpassed Madara, and perhaps he would also have saved the shinobi, and if he was striving for power, we might have seen someone unparalleled.
Most of the people who call him overrated is due solely by the changes made by kishi throughout the series. During part 1, minato was set up to be the goat of goats. Everyone put him on a pedestal bc he was so great/powerful. Keep in mind, before the retcon of orochimaru's edu being weakened, sarutobi actually felt confident facing 1st/2nd hokages but nearly crapped himself at the thought of facing 4th (why a retcon? Bc its inplied that they were at their prime power based on 3rds and anbus comments).
However, as the series progressed, more powers were given to the uchihas and therefore given to hashi. Minato suffered from "being shown in his prime too early in the series before power levels were established".

I kinda disagree with the last statement. Yeah he died knowing he ensured the balance between the villages by keeping the nine tails sealed within a jinchuriki but he also died with the knowledge of Toni/Madara who would he knew would be a threat in the future. Him telling Naruto about “madara” when he does put the 5 nations in a more difficult situation as they were baited into all out war.
I don't think he's overrated but I'm 100% sure, if Minato wouldn't have been mostly a flashback character, his teleportation jutstu would've gotten tons of restrictions. Like, it's true that the mark never dissapears but I'm 100% sure Minato wouldn't have been able to eat lunch, take out 100 of shinobis from DIFFERENT villages that he marked and then finishes his meal. I think most of his feats are crazy but his hype in general is a bit overexagerrated a bit.
Like Hashirama, when abilities aren’t explained, people have difficulty accepting them. Like Sage mode for Minato and Hashirama. Also, Minato is best known for for using someone else Jutsu. Slightly overrated
Minato is not overrated, he's a non Uchiha, non Senju and non special clan ninja, and he stood heads and shoulders above many in the world, legit being a guy you ran away from if you ever encountered him or heard he was nearby. If anything he was nerfed, as everything eventually became about special clans and lineages.

I think Minato is the coolest character in Naruto. Damn I so wish they had done a separate manga prequel on Minato and Kushina's class with Jairaya and other supporting characters. Would have been a lot better than crap show that Boruto is.
Now that I think about it, Minato might’ve still been the child of prophecy. He kind of did save the world by deciding to put nine tails in Naruto rather than killing Kurama therefore Naruto grows up to be Naruto🍥 lol also he did help in the 4th war🤷🏽♂️
