I just want to say, whoever your editor is, is fantastic. They always know how to pick the right scenes, and Matts ahem "screwdriver" here just solidifies it.
you forgot the "I Am the doctor, basically run" moment from 11th hour where the Atraxi search through the doctor's history with his former incarnations
If you pause the scene of Mel and Ncuti on the bikes you can see the stunt doubles, if you pause on Matt and Jenna riding the motorbike you can see a camera reflected in the helmet
The image of some like 10 year olds, just realising he's naked and they might get a cameo from his... special sonic screwdriver... shall we say, is going to make me laugh whenever I think of it.
I would say the scenes in which we see Ruby's cloaked mother would be on here trying to see anything about their appearance and, of course, to see the ruby road sign
Sorry, you're all wrong! THE No.1 paused moment in DW history is the slow, lingering camera move taking in Peri's stunning figure in a pink bikini from Peter Davison's penultimate story 'Planet Of Fire'. Many VCR & DVD pause buttons were worn out back in the day, I can tell you!
I hated the timeless child idea for a long time, but it’s starting to grow on me tbh. The idea of more doctors before the first actually makes a lot of sense with all the hints throughout the show. I still don’t like Chrises writing and his seasons. But the idea is a good one
I will be honest... I had the same issue with Donna... I hated her the 1st time I watched her, and the 2nd, even the 3rd.. it took a while for me to like her, now I think she's the best ever
I don't have a problem with the Timeless Child reveal in the very broad sense... There having been more Doctors before the ones we know of, doesn't really bother me. What I don't like about the Timeless Child is the idea that the Doctor isn't Gallifreyan, that really takes away from his connection with his homeworld, with the time lords, with the Master especially. Part of the Master's narrative deal is that he's supposed to be the Doctor but if the Doctor had been bad... But the Master is Gallefreyan(At least as far as we know.) so now they lose that special connection. The Doctor being extra special special something secret who knows alien, makes the Master just one of many people who benefitted from stealing the Doctors regenerations from them.
@ yeah I agree very much with that half I think that’s the part that still gets me and I’m struggling with taking away from the 60 years we have built as fan base and just change it
I recon its in the doctors future and the spymaster was meant to find Fugitive as the last TC not 13. Because I think 13 found the Tardis after fugitive at Ghost Monument puts perspective out of order
Unknowingly, the first doctor also brought conspiracy to the Whoinverse when he ventured to Earth for his first appearance alongside Susan, his granddaughter, as did she, as a time lord teen or was she? If you imagine Susan is a Gallifrian and said to be a teenager on the flip side of her age, she might actually be older with regenerated abilities that slow down her ageing, not total regen abilities but they are there. So Susan may be in her 90s in Gallifrian terms of ageing. As for the other side of the coin of the doctors' activities through the files of Unit to Torchwood and FBI, the ones from Gallifrey, there's loads of unexplained and conspiracies reaching back possibly a millennium or more. The time lords are a sort of unkemptered vortex of intertwined and causes and effect. But who knows, who is watching them? Oh yes, it's those watching through a box in the corner of a room everywhere on one night from 61 years? We've been part of the Whoinverse Conspiracies tour forever? Now, and a future events?
Firmly team “those were Morbius incarnations” despite timeless child retcons. If it was a duel, it makes no sense that Morbius would have no representation there.
My headcanon interpreted the extra faces as belonging to Morbius, not the Doctor, and they were "merged" together in the display as part of the "battle". We all know what Chibnall screwed up anyway, so, why should he stop there?
Remember, the 4th Doctor revealed under Davros' influence in "Genesis of the Daleks" that the first Dalek invasion of Earth was in the year 2000 (granted, it was 1975 then, so it gave them 25 years, but, who knew that the show would carry on well past)...
I was today years old when I found out the angels in Blink move as Sally blocks them. Probably cos I’ve only watched the episode once and have no intention of watching it gain.
So here is an out there theory. I've just watched a programme from 2014 called Chasing Shadows which starred Alex Kkngston. In the 2nd episode of the 2nd two parter her character is present when her police colleague picks a gold tooth up from an unmarked grave. Do you think RTD watched that series. Do you think River Song could have picked the the tooth up? I said it was an put there theory! It would tie the two together with Alex Kingston
You know, for the last month I've been binge watching modern who on and off. I remember having the opinion that I did not like Capaldi but he grew on me. I got to Season 8 and kinda lost steam. I'm not sure if it's because the Capaldi era is so much more recent that I remember it more if it's just because the early Capaldi episodes were actually kinda rough and it was not so much Capaldi growing on me as it was simply less strong seasons leading into better ones.
@@DrWhoFanJ You may want to re-check that information. Season 8 starts with Deep Breath, the first episode with Capaldi as lead. Although in double checking to ensure I had not made a typo or mistake, holy crap it's been an entire freaking decade already.

Agreed, Danny(editor) is so talented
James Johnston is credited as the editor

Can confirm

i paused that midnight scene so many times, even now that I've concluded there isn't actually anything, I still try to rewind and pause to find it
I was expecting Peter Davidson's regeneration scene with Nicola Bryant to be among this list 😉

Showing your age here
no mention of Peri or Leela, well done, Ellie

Enjoyed the video, but the creature from Midnight should be topping that list
missed the carriage scene in the snowmen
3:06. Narrator crumbles into dust...
Frobisher... shapeshifting penguin... yeah could've been him actually... the more you think about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nothing better than a tangible rubber monster (just ask Japanese movie/TV audiences) ;-P
Older fans had a frequently paused moment in classic who... Peri in her bikini... sorry but we all know why

Even though they were always very explicitly the Doctor, you mean‽
And Morbius did get representation. He had his new head and his old head.
Great video, Ellie
wdym, it just got uploaded
Edit: 13 minutes and 6 seconds later I can agree with you, was a great video!
Is it bad that I knew what episode the thumbnail was from by the doctor's clothes?
I remember pausing Turn Left's title sequence when I saw Billie Piper's name appear. Almost screamed lol
Since you've got Daleks crossing all over London how about a picture of Daleks crossing Abey Road. Everyone else crosses that street.
I just posted this same idea then found yours. I agree!
@@shawn445 It is pretty cool. Another idea would be to have a Dalek, Sontaran, Cyberman and Ice Warrior Cross Abbey Road.
It already exists!! Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, and 2x daleks!!
It's embarrassing how I didn't notice Rose in midnight. It's one of them episodes I watched about 10 times 😭
oh hello

We all know he "screwed up" nothing, yes. He can’t stop because he never started.
Love "The Family of Blood" corner of their eye reference. Coulda done with "The 11th Hour," as well. Cheers....
The Entity in Midnight truly was a terrifying villain

I think we might be running out of ideas.
Frobisher mentioned 🛐🛐🛐
I never noticed the Weeping Angel changing it's position in Blink. I'm looking out for that when I next watch the episode.
I was today years old when I found out the angels in Blink move as Sally blocks them. Probably cos I’ve only watched the episode once and have no intention of watching it gain.
....Chris Chibnall's time as show-runner?
No, we didn't pause his episodes, we skipped them.

I actually did go frame by frame; trying to see the Midnight monster.
I TOLD YOU that it was a Sonic REMOTE! ;-P
I have definitely paused Midnight a few times

@ No, Season 8 starts with _Terror of the Autons,_ the first story with Katy Manning as the companion Jo Grant and Roger Delgado as the Master.
At least Matt Smith wasn't wearing a "merkin" (look it up)... ;-P
