I would agree with you 35 inch tires are an excellent upgrade with no rubbing issues at all on the stock rims. I recently installed 37s with AEV Salta wheels and have some videos coming out shortly. The 37s have some slight rubbing full turn in reverse and should be used for when maximum clearance off road is needed. The 35s are a better balance for all around driving.
The Power Wagon should definitely come with wider wheels, 35's, and a higher output motor stock. I was driving my brothers on a road trip the other day and talk about understeering! Smart choice to put 35's on your PW.

Every time a commercial shows any vehicle off road, they are beating the snot out of their vehicle and hitting rough patches at 50mph. In reality, we crawl over nasties. I put 35's on my Ram 2500 Cummins. Looks great but does rub slightly.
Yes. But spare has to be aired down to close to nothing. I hoisted it into place and used a floor jack to press it in while tightening the cable hoist. It BARELY fits. You will of course need to have a compressor on hand when/if you ever need the spare.
What brand tires? Chow buy duratrac 315 70r 17 to replace stock duratrac. These new tires 34.4 , not 35. Chow want to make truck taller so fat girls can’t climb in. No running boards on chows truck. You can’t get in, me no want you in.
i put 35s on mine and it feels like the best balance of offroading, daily driving, and towing.

I feel 37s are the best size tire for these trucks I had 35s on mine and the 37s feel much better
The 35' Americus Rugged MT I have on my 18 PW do well. Dig the truck and content.
