This is almost exactly what I plan on doing. Similar to you I wasn’t a fan of the 5.5 barrel on the rattler, but the 9” Virtus is just right. Add the 12” handguard and you have an improved canebrake!
Actually it's more like a longer version of the TACOPS. Which is awesome IMHO.
If you get Rattler, can now use Virtus handguard on a Rattler with the MCX XTN from Virtuous Concepts. Would love to see more review on MCZ and SD handguard.
Excellent information and beautiful piece of machinery. The nine inch barrel on a 300 BLK is a must. Don't understand the Rattler in 5.56? It will bring the fps down to 9mm speeds. For me concealment vs true performance. Thank you for all the details as we have many questions.Be safe...Cheers.

I was wondering if you still had the 12 inch hand guard and if you were interested in selling it.
I'm REALLY torn between this and the Radian Model One .300BLK pistol. I'm leaning towards the Radian Model One, but your videos are making it tough.

Really interested in this pistol from Sig. Approx how many rounds have you ran through it and what if any malfunctions have you had? Can't wait to see this when finished...looking good so far man!

If we’re not doing wanna midwest industries suppressor compatible and gars what are the advantages to swapping out the Midwest industries handguard for the stock handguards if we are doing the same link and a non-suppressor version?
Have you had issues using mlok attachments with the suppressor mounted? If so, is there enough clearance to take the handguard on/off with the attachments on?
I think I like the original hand guard better... that one looks a little too wide to me (I understand that it is to host the suppressor). What do you think about the difference between the two hand guards now, after having some time to use the new one?
New handguard is a bit more rounded, but still very comfortable. Currently running it with standard handguard as it is easier to remove suppressor

Looks awesome! Do you know if this hand guard will fit the Rattler? I keep hearing it won't fit, but I keep seeing pictures online of people putting a longer "sig" hand guard on the 5.5" barrel with suppressor. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

I'm curios since I don't have a Sig MCX, doesn't the rail flex down on the front since there doesn't seem to be anything supporting it?
No... it is supported about 4 inches on each side (channel lock type) as well as secured with pin to lock it in place.
Thanks, was looking for this. I got a MCX Virtus in 5.56 with 14.5" barrel and 12" handguard. Now I want the 9" barrel in 300BO, but cant find the 8" handguard anywhere (or they dont deliver to my place). Could you let us know what shooting this combination is like?

Nice, but not for me as it defeats the purpose of concealablity. I like that my MCX Virtus Pistol will fit in a back pack.

It is solid... no wiggle to it at all

Shorter barrel. Canebreak has a 5.5" barrel. Virtus has a 9" barrel. Note that the 5.5 includes the round, so only end up with about 3" barrel on the cane brake. It also comes with a fake supressor
