No one can say a bad word about Charlie unless they want an angry Dean on their hands...mark or not. I absolutely adore their relationship! Felicia and Jensen have this awesome chemistry. She is a sister to them both, so it is nice to see more Sam/Charlie bonding.
Every episode with Charlie always makes it a great ep! We see Dean try to practice self control by not drinking and following a healthy diet so he might be able to resist the urge to kill, but in the end he still hurt Charlie which is heartbreaking tbh
one of my favorite BTS stories is from this episode. Felicia said at a con that her life is complete after more than one take of trapping Jensen between her legs. I don't remember if this part happened or was hindsight but I always picture.. oh, my face wasn't in the right light.. take 2, ~giggles~ take 3, ok.. I'll try to look angrier..take 4 etc.
Always love to see Charlie but this episode was so painful because of the great sibling bound between Dean & Charlie. I know she doesn’t hold this against him
I always viewed the Mark of Cain as the Halucifer arc from season 7 done right. Here the Mark is present in each episode even if it isn’t the main focus. It either takes effect on Dean in small ways like episode 6 or big ways like episode 9. But their are times where he fights it off or are mixed, but you can see him gradually losing control. And in Each episode Sam is concern and rightly so. In season 7 however Sam’s hallucinations are barely brought up except in certain episodes and in between that time Sam is just fine, sure he does that hand thing but that’s it, aside frond the first two episodes of the season the hallucinations never get in the way of a case like the Mark dies and anytime Dean acts concern over Sam or questions his saintly he’s treated as being in the wrong and too overprotective, and when they get worse it just sorta happens without any buildup. Even if they couldn’t get Lucifer’s actor they still could’ve done more with it. But season 10 does a better job of it
Yes, and even the climax of the Hallucifer storyline was sidelined by Castiel's return. The brothers were separated for most of the ep and at the end they barely interacted at all. Then, Sam was "fine" and it became all about Cas and how he was after taking on Sam's hallucinations

Fun fact: Felicia said in a interview that the best/fun part of shooting this episode was the leg grip on Jensen's neck.

I liked this episode. I didn’t think the guy was gonna die when I first saw it though I was like oh damn lol. Charlie is a great character ❤
