  • "What can Pakistan do?" A question many have been asking, and one man tried to answer. In this week's episode, we sat down with Asad Umer, Pakistan's former finance minister, to discuss whether there's hope for Pakistan. We talk about the opportunities to improve diplomatic relations, solve public policy-related issues, and steps to stabilise the economy. Additionally, we discuss the problems with our institutions and the future of democracy.

This guy doesn't have an ounce of credibility left (there was very little after his finance minister tenure anyways)

Referring to "vote on biryani ki plate" and how Indians are doing it successfully, we need to look into the steps which India took to make sure people are not voting for "biryani ki plate" or landlords are in no position to dictate voting process.

Pakistan shouldn’t worry. Pakistan is a nazriati mulq like Israel, formed during the holy month, and Waahid Islamic nuclear power of the world. Pakistan’s problems are caused by saazish of yahood o hanood o nissara though China is a trusted friend. Pakistan is also a leader of the Muslim ummah and provides security to them all over the world.

Your guest blames BJP government for the tension in relations with Pakistan...do you mean to say the relationship between Pakistan and India were very cordial before 2014..? What nonsense..!!
Pakistan initiated 4 wars post 1947..
Several terrorist attacks were carried out by your ISI in different parts of India...How dare you blame India for this tension..?
Finally, Big NO FOR Trade between Pakistan and India..
India will grow and grow faster, with or without trade with Pakistan..
We don't want any sort of relationship with Pakistan...

I feel people like Asad Umar should participate actively in public life. There are many things what he said are correct. However, there are some very fundamental flaws in his thoughts. His assessment of India / BJP is incorrect and completely prejudiced. Pakistanis keep screwing themselves and then keep saying Allah Tala ki Marzi…

Didn't ask the MAIN question -- WHY did his boss Hazrat Imran Khan Niazi do his famous U turn on importing sugar, cotton etc from India in Cabinet after HIMSELF "approving" it as Commerce minister??
    Useless interview 👎👎
ONLY thing that made sense was when he said at the end "Pakistan koi NORMAL mulk nahi hai.... " etc etc

Maujuda ibham ki jad imran Khan and party ka itidaar ki bhookh aur ziddi rawaya hai. Kyon imraan vote of confidence ke baad opposition mein nahi baitha. Yeh saab aur chaydhary imraan ki kitchen cabinet ke hissa the kyon inhone imraan ko sadbuddi di itdedar hi sab kuch nahi Ayan mein opposition ki bhi shikh hai. ImraN agar opposition ki jimmedari nibata to Aaj yeh saab pti ko chod bhagh khade nahi hote. Imraan itna bhi competent nahi ki itdedaar ki kursi uske liye bani hai. Parliament mein opposition bhi jamuriat ka atoot hissa/pillar hai. Imraan ko quran ke saath saath Pakistani constitution bhi dhyan se padna aur sikhna chaheye Cricket mein bhi sirf batting nahi bowling aur fielding (pidai) bhi karni padti hai.
